It’s also there because it’s true? What do you think omnipotence is? If we are to actual look at what it is, then yeah, there’s nothing that says anything of what we’re saying is correct. Omni means all, while potent (potence) relatively means strength or power. Put those two together and you get all-powerful. Now, looking at that word doesn’t mean it is above all since it just means able to do all, but here’s the thing. If I am able to do everything, then wouldn’t that mean I can always beat you? In the scenario that you beat me, wouldn’t that mean I wasn’t able to do everything? That’s the reason we say it is “above all.” The second you put a limitation or inability to do something, that automatically takes away the single principle of omnipotence. So if you put two “omnipotent” beings into a room, and they couldn’t beat the other, wouldn’t that mean they were both unable to do something? But how? If they were omnipotent, they should be able to beat the other. But in the scenario that one does actually win, the one who lost wouldn’t have been omnipotent since they, you know, lost? You see what I’m getting at? Again, nothing directly says any of this, but if you have any level of being able to think, then you can assume this would be the idea of omnipotence.
