@BlessedDevil sounds like inevitable boredom and eventual despair just living without a purpose as you outlive anyone you grow close to.
Immortality is only boring when you have nothing to do, the universe is not just the earth, it is a lot of other planets inhabited in the universe, and as the universe is infinite, your infinite journey will be Always good (and less if it's only on earth, I would like to see the generations passing by, the technology involved, telling the stories of the past, etc.) that of Immortality is boring It is a very human way of looking at Immortality
@Masky man that's an interesting answer.
Do you whatever the fuck I wanna do. Sorry that was the only thing I could come up with😂
@Cameron Washington it's fine, don't worry.
As for me, I would probably live the same as I always have: enjoying the advancements of humanity but also telling stories of the past. And should I end up fighting, I'd probably do so with the reckless abandon of a berserker since I couldn't really die anyway.
I would just chill. Yeah, sooner or later people are gonna find out about my immortality and shit's gonna happen as it would. Hell, I could probably find a way to profit off my Absolute Immortality and become wealthy; I wouldn't aim to be a multi-billionaire, but just have enough wealth to where I can live comfortably. All of that aside, though, I'll enjoy some of the new video games that come out and watch how video games and game systems develop, see how far some anime and manga go and have no issue keeping up with it all, watch for how long before we get some contact with aliens, mess around with my immortality by, for example, doing bits of damage to myself and watching the regeneration in action, still eat a bunch despite not needing to, continue working, enjoy the fact that I don't need to worry about being too hot or too cold since Thermal Resistance is just another part of the immortality package, take a more dangerous yet higher-paying job since I'm at zero risk of death, and do much more.
I'm not going to suddenly go out and be adventurous, though, nor am I going to start doing crazy things like skydiving, mountain climbing, and in general activities I wouldn't do even before I had immortality. Hell, you won't even see me at a beach since I'm not a beach person. Immortality or not, you won't find me hiking the mountain trail. You'll find this immortal sitting at home, eating a large pizza on his own while watching...I don't know, Hunter x Hunter 2011 or Promare for the Nth time.
I'm never going to get bored since something is always happening on Earth (look at how absurd 2020's been so far, and we're only halfway through the year) and eventually and inevitably we'll get space travel, so that's just more neat stuff to keep me entertained. As for living beyond people, I'll just deal with it. I've already outlived a bunch of good friends, friends of family, family members, and beloved pets of mine. Maybe I'll get jaded/desensitized to it after a hundred years or so. Maybe not. We'd have to see how it all pans out.
@SupremeInferno I like your answer.
It's answers like that that make me ask these questions.
Ngl I would just find a place untouched by humans and quietly live there. One of the reasons is bcs I like being alone and the other is that humans tend to dislike things that are different. If they found out that I had absolute immortality they would most likely want to do something about me. Governments would hunt me down and research on me to figure out how it works. And you can do nothing about it since you only have absolute immortality, not super strength or anything like that. Of course you could train like crazy and gain super strength and etc.
What do you think?
