Well, ok. Tho just pointing out. I never said surpass. Lol.
I know. I was laying out the three general principles of Omnipotence, not accusing you of making some claim.
Got it.
@Morningstar123 "You can clearly read the page. You could even ask the damn page creator. It's really not that hard lmao." i did infact ask the page creator, and he didn't say that metapotence was 'omnipotence but achievable' just letting you know.
Well. He has been telling people otherwise. It is what people who spoke to me told me. And considering the users on the page it's implied, if not outright admitted. Dunno what further proof you require.
That does seem to be the conclusion you have drawn, but I don't think you've actually provided good evidence to show how Metapotence is achieved in fiction, or that the power is explicity achievable in any way. Aside from "Some unnamed people told me the page creator said so", I'm not sure how you're arriving at this conclusion from the text given on Metapotence.
I think some good proof would be a basic backing of your claim - can you provide a user who achieves metapotence?
The wiki consensus has thus far been that omnipotence, which metapotence is a form of, cannot be achieved. Most any page you look at, it will include that any given power can't reach omnipotence. I've personally never been as sold on the idea that omnipotence isn't achievable either, but I've also never seen good evidence to the contrary and it's currently a rule the wiki works by.
''Aside from "Some unnamed people told me the page creator said so"''- I did not use that as a reason, just showing some people agreed. I did not name them cuz I've had issues in the past in which things got ugly over something so simple.
"I think some good proof would be a basic backing of your claim - can you provide a user who achieves metapotence?''- It does not even matter if you disagree with this list since the people are listed already: Akuto Sai, Shion, and Featherine (even tho I personally disagree with this one but as I said it's on the page so...).
@Morningstar123 'Well. He has been telling people otherwise. It is what people who spoke to me told me. And considering the users on the page it's implied, if not outright admitted. Dunno what further proof you require.' the messages in the link don't make it seem like this is that type of situation where he actually is doing that, who is telling you that he is doing that? (by the way this is him answering questions about Metapotence asked by Clara Sirius)

...look, this argument is dead. The users list is there. If you feel it is wrong. Take it up with an admin or DYBAD. Hedid not actually deny the power is achievable, just talked about how very contradictory it is, and how metapotence ignores all that. But again, that's not even the point, since there are users on the page WHO WERE NOT PREVIOUSLY OMNIPOTENT. How many times must I go over this before you let it go. I didn't create the page. I definitely did not add any users. I've already watched some of the shows there, thus I know what I'm talking about.😧
As Necro mentioned a couple weeks back, anyone can edit any power page, User Lists included. So it's hard to efficiently keep tabs on them, which means a number of users may not truly/entirely fit the pages they are listed on (it's pretty common for the mightiest abilities).
So when in doubt, it is generally more reliable to check out the user and see how well they fit the key traits of the power, rather than take the listing itself as irrefutable proof.
Omnipotence is generally acknowledged as unachievable in-universe for a variety of reasons, and the one I stuck with is that Omnipotence is supreme power, and the supreme power of any story is the storyteller, a level of power that inherently stands completely out of reach of any character - unless the storyteller makes it happen, by lending their own power to their chosen character, who then becomes an in-universe conduit for their author-level power.
Usually, the empowered characters are little more than author avatars or plot devices, but it's perfectly possible for them to be their own person if the writer wants to go this way (they generally don't because it makes the story boring and thus non-marketable).
So while Omnipotence in its various forms cannot be "achieved" by any character, it can still be directly "bestowed" by the writer, either through in-universe story-friendly proxy, or straight out of nowhere in which case the character suddenly becomes Omnipotent for no apparent reason ^ ^
What do you think?
