If you read the pages, you can see that Mutants (in this wiki term) and Empowered Subjects are different.

@Clara Sirius To be honest, while very few instances might be okay for mixing terminologies, sometimes combining terms can be a bad thing, otherwise definitions will happen to contradict themselves. For the Mutant term, its the same logic here. For a person to be an Empowered Subject of the rational category, a Human has to retain their humanity as long as they are going through a micromutation, and that's how a rational empowered human is developed.

For a person to become a Mutant (which is again a monster) would have to go through a dangerous and painful mutation, (or to level with you, known as macromutation), which results in losing what race they should be (humanity), losing their form into a monstrous, hideous form. And to be more generalistic, there is a fine line between what is a Mutant, and what is an Empowered Subject.

If this is how terms are used then and there, as well as Marvel, then I can pretty much say, there are contradicting cultures and fantasies going on. This is why it is a fact that defining words and terms, can be abysmal and contradicting. I would rather that terminology didn't exist then, if that's how certain people define and alter word definitions to fit their needs.

The reason why I have documented Empowered Subject Physiology in the first place, is that I am dividing what should be classified as a Mutant, and what is an Empowered Subject. I also made no secret that Marvel's usage of Mutants for Humans that have X-Genes, should've been called either X-Humans, X-Gene Humans, or even X-Gene Carriors instead. Division exists for a reason, and there are times where either of them are needed, and where other instances mustn't. Division is this case, should be alright.

@ChocolateElemental Although, it's possible to undergo a micromutation to gain abilies and keep humanity. The only thing we disagree is that you think someone called mutant must necessarily be macromutated. At this point, you should specify this with creator of Mutant Physiology.

@Clara Sirius Actually, I do assume he documented the Mutant Physiology under Monster Physiology, so he is correct there. The point is, an Empowered Subject is not a Mutant, but a Mutant is a monster. Is a Metahuman an Empowered Subject? Yes. But are they Mutants? No.
