@Necrotifice @Zatalliya what do you think about this, should there be a Jewish Mysticism Superpower Page and a Divine Dark Arts Superpower Page?
@Necrotifice @Zatalliya What do you think of Jewish Mysticism and Divine Dark Arts, should they be Superpowers!?
Jewish Mysticism is a valid page. There's definitely several examples of it in fiction, especially in stories pertaining to the creation of Golems and the like.
Divine Dark Arts we already have a few pages that somewhat cover. Dark Arts are often considered dark because they are unholy, which is already sort of covering the 'Divine' aspect. We also have Demonic Magic, which is a variation on the same idea. Additionally, we have Dark Miracle, which is just miracles but from evil divine entities. I think between those three we don't really need a Divine Dark Arts page.
Oh, and that American Dad usage is a gag and not a power, so it doesn't count as a valid Known User. Please stop using American Dad and Family Guy as sources for powers, they almost never are.
What about Nimue from Once Upon a Time who drank from the holy grail, Then committed murder which corrupted her divine magic, but was able to retain her immortality and vast power? Would that be just dark divinity, or would that be similar to Eldritch magic Which is basically an alien version of both the dark arts and divine magic?
Well, technically she'd have other powers with a source of Dark Divinity. Eldritch Magic is more like the Cthulhu knock-off style spookiness, so unless there's some 'cosmic horror' eldritch nonsense in there it'd probably just be Dark Divinity.
This is why there should be a Divine Dark Arts page, Because if there’s someone who obtained divine magic, but it’s also considered a Dark sorcerer, someone might link it to Eldritch Magic?
Nah, usually the parts of it (Dark Divinity, Dark Arts) are enough to accurately determine it on a character. And by definition Dark Arts can encompass the 'divine' aspect quite readily as told by Necro.
We've enough cluttering as it is :/
Alright well, I had to try!
What do you think?
