My major ability is Plasma manipulation. I can generate and control plasma and even alter its properties into fire, light, electricity, and other related energies. Though it is mentally draining to manipulate it in any form other than its purest state.
My lower class ability would be telepathic intelligence; I can use moderate telepathic abilities to absorb knowledge from the minds of others to bolster my own cognitive abilities, though due to a subconscious mental block, I can only maintain the absorbed knowledge for so long before I lose it (about 15 minutes).
My final, 2nd low class ability, is personal density. I can alter my molecular density to harden my skin into a strong obsidian-like substance, or make myself intangible and able to fly. However, due to some sort of mishap, I possess a flaw when I'm at the middle ground (normal density) which makes me incredibly vulnerable to blunt force trauma.
Escape:
As the scientists are studying me and gathering data on my potential abilities, I use my control over my molecular density to phase out of the tube and through the floor into the sub-basement. The scientists are too busy to notice; as I make my way down the hall, I run into a guard who, upon seeing me, holds me at gun-point while reaching for his radio. I hit him with a plasma blast before he can alert anybody, however, I then hear an alarm go off throughout the facility as a voice plays out the intercom.
Attention! Weapon Alpha has escaped from testing area! Full site lockdown has been initiated! All personnel be on the lookout! If you encounter the subject, subdue him at whatever cost!
Crap! The scientists must have found out I escaped; I hear voices from further down the hall. Panicking, I phase with the guard into a locked room before we're seen. As I hear voices outside, I think of how I'm going to get out of this facility before casting my gaze at the still-unconscious guard, an idea forming in my head. As I strip him of his uniform, my head is suddenly filled with knowledge of an exit route out of the facility as well as a security code for the door, what baffles me is that I didn't know this before. I realize I must have absorbed the knowledge from the guard.
After putting on his suit, I partially phase out of the room to scope the area. After making sure the coast is clear, I leave the room and head down towards the elevator at the end of the corridor. The ride up takes about 10 minutes to get to ground level, but it feels like an eternity as my mind anxiously wonders what will happen if I'm caught before I can reach the exit. I had heard of Weapon X and their experiments, specifically those involving Wolverine. What if they wiped my memories? What if they tortured me until I broke and turned me into a killing machine? I try to shake these thoughts as the elevator halts; I'm at ground level, so far so good.
I exit the elevator, and as I do, I see guards rushing down the halls clearly searching for me. I steel my nerves and walk calmly down the hallway while trying to remain inconspicuous. Unfortunately for me, I run into an agent and we both fall to the floor; scrambling to get up, I apologize and help him up. Big mistake as he notices he doesn't recognize my voice. I knock him out with an energy infused fist, but he already called for backup. As I hear an order to security to converge on my position, I make a break down the hallway as I struggle to remember where the exit is; the knowledge I absorbed must be fading. I move through various halls, corridors and criss-crosses while trying to maintain the information in my brain.
After some close calls, I finally see the exit up ahead as I hear guards nearby. I only have one shot at this, it's now or never. I gather up all my strength and rush towards the door just as I hear a shot before the hall erupts with gunfire. Bullets whiz past my head, some even going through me as I turn myself intangible, not slowing down for even a second. I reach the door, only to feel as if I've been punched in the gut as I notice it's locked and that I need a passcode to open it. My knowledge on the code is almost completely gone as I struggle to remember the specific numbers I need to enter. I can hear the guards right behind me, and I start to panic. Is this it? After all I did to get hear, I'm stopped by a password protected lock?
No, not like this. I concentrate, blocking out the alarms and shouts as I try to recollect the information while I still can. I can feel a migraine coming; it's so painful. My brain feels like it's on fire as I struggle to fill in the gaps in my memory, as if my mind doesn't want to recall the lost knowledge. But I force it to anyway as I get bits and pieces. I've got it! Without wasting a second longer, I input the code and rush out the door; as it closes behind me, a couple of shots go off, a bullet grazing my shoulder. I ignore the pain as I use a plasma blast to weld the door shut before making my way up the stairs to the hatch. I open it and am briefly blinded by the ray of sunlight that penetrates my visor.
As I step outside, I'm greeted by a rush of cold wind; removing my helmet, I stop to glance at my surroundings. From the looks of it, I'm on a mountaintop, snow coating the ground. I look over the edge of a waterfall to see that it's a long way down. I'd rather not have to jump, but I can't waste time looking for a more convenient way; seeing no other alternative, I take a deep breath and harden my body to obsidian before leaping off the edge and plummeting into the water below. The water must be freezing, but I barely feel it, maybe due to my highly dense skin or my adrenaline. I don't waste too much time thinking about it as I notice I'm being dragged down by the current. Using my remaining strength, I drag myself out of the stream and onto dry land. Thankfully, it looks like I've made it down to the ground as I notice a forest around me. Now I just need to make my way to a road and see if I can hitch a ride. Hopefully I won't stand out too much in this suit; I'd ditch it, but I'd prefer not to go walking around in my underwear.
Before I can start walking however, I hear the sound of rotor blades. Panic starts to fill my body as I notice helicopter above me lowering to the ground; the Weapon X scientists must have sent a search out for me. But how did they find me so quick? No matter, I'm not going back without a fight. As the chopper lands, I charge up a plasma blast, ready to incinerate whoever is inside. Just as the doors open, I prepare to let loose, but then I hear a voice.
"Easy there son, we're not here to hurt you."
As the figure exits the aircraft, my jaw drops as I'm face to face with none other than Nick Fury of S.H.I.E.L.D.
After composing myself, I ask him how he found me. He tells me that his team was alerted of possible Weapon X activity by an old friend, and he decided to investigate. His search led him to the facility where I was being held.
"I got to say, I'm surprised to find you out here. Hardly anybody captured by Weapon X is able to escape alive." He said with a smirk.
I'm confused as I think of who the old friend he spoke could be. Then a name enters my head: Wolverine.
"Don't worry, you're safe now." Fury assures me. "Right now, I've got soldiers storming the facility. From the looks of things, we got here just before they could clear out. Lucky for us, eh?"
I don't bother with a reply as I struggle to stand upright. All the running, using my powers, the stress, the fear I felt, it's all catching up with me. Fatigue finally takes its toll as the adrenaline wears off and I collapse. As my vision begins to fade, I hear Fury's voice.
"Poor kid, looks like all the excitement has worn you down. Don't worry, we're gonna get you somewhere safe, away from hear. Get some rest, you deserve it."
These are the last words I hear before I fade into unconsciousness.
