Scenario 1

A naive robber walks up behind you, holds a gun to your head, and hisses, "GIVE ME YOUR MONEY!" Little does he/she know, you are a matter manipulator. You simply turn around, and extend your arm towards his gun. The next second, the robber notices that his gun had suddenly turned into glass.

Scenario 2

You randomly decide that you want to destroy a building. With but a mere wave of your hand, the closest building to you would explode violently and anyone near it would get vaporized. You had essentially disconnected all of the atomic bonds in the building, causing a colossal release of energy (depending on how much force you put into breaking the atomic bonds)

Scenario 3

You notice a house that was built out of very old, frail material. It looked like it could fall apart at any second.

"Perhaps I should fix this-" you notioned. With a trivial gesture, the entire house was repaired, and it was significantly more durable than before.

I don't even recognize difference between Matter Manipulation and Telekinesis.

@Clara Sirius I think matter manipulation is more focuse about stucture and interaction of matter when telekinesis is focus more about motion and energy

If I have matter manipulation, first I will master every element from period table then recognize and affect every kind of structure of matter on molecular level organic and inorganic, then I will master transmutation of matter to change lead into gold and much more. After mastering my power I will clean the world from trash by changing them into atomic dust (single atoms), cure people by detecting cancer cells and destroy them with out harming person. Fighting crime with idea to make surface of ground and their weapon absolute slippery hahaha, they can't grab weapon and stand up properly, they will always falling down like they always step on banana peel hahaha.

I think TK is Matter Manipulation that stems from the mind; a more "specific" version of Matter Manipulation. Whereas Matter Manipulation is a more general term and it could mean something like using magic/technology/something else to alter matter, rather than just the mind.

So it’s basically changing the physical and chemical state of a substance?

If the matter manipulator had enough skill, precision, and knowledge, they might be able to turn a human/another living organism into a dog or something like that. Theoretically, they could also weaponize their own body (or other people's body). They could also possibly cure cancer, heal injuries, and so on.

They would likely do the above by manipulating one's genetic code (since DNA is matter). However, they would need a high amount of knowledge and precision to do those kinds of stuff.
