Yeah, but nothing he throws at Kirby would faze him if he opens his mouth, being able to absorb things many dozens of times larger then himself. The main attribute of this power is literally becoming what he eats, including both beings and energy. If Kirby manages to get close to mooncake and eat him, it's over, if mooncake fires a ray at Kirby and he absorbs it, then he can fire it right back at him.
