The Essential This goes over what Logos (A "dimension" that precedes concepts and acts as the blueprint of Reality) and Pathos ( Our imperfect and ever-changing reality) are.
The Basics Reality is subject to change and no perfect, objective [ Pathos ] exists. Belief and Perception can influence [ Pathos ] much like it can with emotions.
The Deciding Vote This decided wether I would give info on a world similar to our own and the goal is to see Logos or a world stuck in the past where magic and the supernatural run free. The Former won
Aether is the first state Reality is in and is devoid of anything. The blank state before concepts were added.
Water is the second state of reality and was constantly changing with every possibility being manifested. Concepts weren't the way we see them now. Things that can't exist -did exist.
Ki The will of Earth to reproduce Forms and to Survive. it came as a result of the Second Juncture
When I bold and italicize something, it is a summary for that section.

Beings that are known as Children of Nature have to meet these requirements: 1. They must follow the designation that is given by Ki. 2. They must be a manifestation of the Earth’s will. Those simple requirements are what differentiate humans from any organism that exists on earth. Even in this Aeon, humans had done some things that didn’t fully meld with the dictations that Ki had given. Furthermore, Humans weren’t a manifestation of Ki’s will -they were a product of it.
Children of Nature are ranked according to the Hierarchy Of Nature. It judges how connected an entity is to Ki, the will of nature. All creations of Nature have a set of dictations that Ki gives out that make up “The Natural Order” of things. When these dictations revolve around what the entity rules over, it is an Authority. An example of this would be how Birds have a small authority over the sky -allowing them to fly. Or how Dolphins have authority over the sea which allows them to move gracefully and breathe under it. When the dictations restrict a certain entity, it is called an Impotence. A fish has high impotence over the sky -with most fish dying if they leave the water.
The more authority and less impotence that a creature has, the higher it is ranked. The Hierachy goes something like this.
✡ Animals ✡
Children of Nature that belong to this classification were created for the sole purpose of observing Humanity’s actions in the physical layer as well as degrade concepts. In a sense, these children were made to knock two birds with a single stone. The Will of Earth desired a way to observe Man in a much more efficient way. One could compare this to how a doctor watches a patient after administering an injection. If its understanding of its own creation grew, it would be easier to use them to reach the Realm of Perfection. At the same time, it needed to do its purpose -to ascend to [ Logos ]. Thus, it decided to degrade forms and mix this degraded form with its own intent -allowing the final product to be better than if it only degraded the form.
When they are reflected upon the physical world, they are known as Animals. Children of this rank are simply containers for the intent of Ki -bound to its dications and desires. Due to being the first devices created by Ki, they are of subpar quality. From the perspective of how close an entity is to Nature, one could consider animals as the closest to Ki -not having any free will themselves.
However, closeness to Ki is determined by how much authority a entity has -with animals failing in that department. Animals tend to have a small authority but a high impotence. A fish has a barely noticeable authority over the seas (being able to breath in it) but has an extremely high impotence connected to Land -dying when not in water.
✡ Phantastical Beasts ✡
This classification is one that is quite varied since it encompasses all creatures from myth and legends that don’t exist in the Modern Era due to the measures taken by Kushim -the Will of Humanity. By beast, practitioners aren’t referring to the scientifical one which means quadrupedal mammals. They are deviations from biology that cannot be explained by the current Paradigm of Man.
Phantastical Beasts are existences that deviate from the classification of Animals due to one of two reasons: Manifestation or Ascension.
Manifestation is when human beliefs brings forth/modifies an existence. Even if a single person believed that a Phantastical Beast exists, Ki incorporates its existence into the Natural Order and continued belief is not needed.
Ascension is when an animal manages to gather enough conceptual weight over time that its authority grows and its impotences lower.
Due to the obvious diversity that exists in this classification, beasts are separated by different grades. The actual name of the Grade depends heavily on what organization that a mage is apart of. A common Western grading system is the use of Elemental Hiearchy which tends to work quite well. The Grading system used in Western Occult circles is: Earth → Water → Air → Fire → Aether/ Spirit.
Beasts tend to change in ranks due to time increasing their conceptual weight.
A beast that starts out with the designation of Earth would be the Griffin. It was a beast with the body, tail, and back legs of a lion; the head and wings of an eagle; and sometimes an eagle's talons as its front feet. It had dominion over standard animals but its impotences and authorities were quite similar to a normal animal.
A beast that is given the designation of Aether would be the Dragon. The dragon is a rather unique species due to being the pinnacle in nearly every single grade. When a dragon reaches the realm of Aether, they transcend nearly any creature -with magic of the highest grade unable to even touch such a beast. Through simply breathing, reality fluctuates to fit their intent.
✡ Pagan Gods ✡
The Pagan Gods can be seen as the highest level that a Nature Spirit can reach. These are beings that were formed as a product of human thoughts and beliefs -which Ki used to create manifestations of concepts. The more humans incorporate a god into their paradigm, the more powerful they grow. The perception of Gods being superior to Man is part of what allowed these existences to be far more powerful than Man.
The Creation of Gods is exactly the same as the creation of Phantastical Beasts. Except, it focuses on the conceptual attribute of Divinity -how “superior” a being is in relation to Man. The reason this isn’t a quality with phantastical beast is due to the fact that most beasts have a similar template to animals -which are naturally weaker than humans. An entity can become a god through enough humans believing that entity is superior to Man or enough belief that there is an entity that is superior to Man.
The fact that divinity correlates to being superior to man is what allows Gods to do things that are beyond Man. An example of this would be how in nearly any paradigm, killing a God is impossible. The human incorporation of death is different than how death is incorporated in Gods. This is mostly due to the view that death is a weakness of Man. It should be noted that in the Norse Paradigms, gods are capable of dying due to death being viewed in a much different light.
Another universal thing is that when visiting the physical world, Gods adopt avatars in order to interact with them -similar to the Platonic Idea of Forms. The Gods are the forms with their avatars being concepts..
✡ Principles ✡
Principles can be considered to be the highest on the Hierarchy of Nature. It can be a little confusing due to specific Pagan Gods being Principles but being of this classification is different than just being a pagan god.
When Ki desired to separate Man due to the contradictory truths which would’ve placed reality back to the Juncture of Water, she decided to create nexus points that these separate realities filled with their own laws, cosmology, destinies, and people, would be centered on. In a sense, Principles can be seen as the Puppeteer behind everything that happens in each reality -using the beliefs of man to build on their own realities.
These existences lack a physical body, due to the fact that The Will of the Earth stripped them of their body but still allowed them the benefits of having them. Allowing them to utilize the true power of the soul that is normally inaccessible to Humans. Combined with the amount of authority that is given to these beings, it is almost insane how powerful principles are in comparison to humans.
An ability that all beings of this class share would be Folding. This stems from their main purpose which is to act as a centerpiece for each separate reality. They are capable of creating layers of reality that work under the Hermetic Principle of “As Above, So Below” allowing them absolute control over their designated reality. These layers can be locations like Olympus, Heaven, Hell, The Underworld, Hel, Asgard, Yomi, Amaravati, The Fairy Lands. However, that isn’t what they are limited to. Afterall, reality encapsulates everything really -layers of reality that determine if an apple means death or if death is life.
