You live in a world where people can be born with special markings on their bodies. The markings are called runes and they come in different shapes and colors. The people that have these markings have superhuman abilities that can be unlock gradually throughout that persons life as they do the markings will grow across their bodies until they’ve reached the most powerful ability for that type of rune. The public has varying views on the different runes the guard rune is the most popular rune because it has the most superhero esc powerset while the freak and poison runes are viewed some what negatively due poison being the only thing that can harm a guard rune user along freak rune users having a hard time controlling their power
