Weaknesses:
She can be overwhelmed through time and force.
Overuse of her powers can tire her out and eventually cause her to faint.
Due to the nature of her powers, her brain is their source. If she suffers any brain damage, her powers can be temporarily disrupted and even canceled out. If she’s knocked unconscious, they’ll be deactivated.
Tactile telekinesis is her default, and she can only use full telekinesis when angered.
Her mastery over telekinesis is much less than that of tactile telekinesis, causing her to rely more on raw power and sheer scale when she’s angered.
While it normally takes a while for her to reach her breaking point, insinuating that she’s a “fake kryptonian” and forcing her (and others) to believe it is an easy way to anger her.
Backstory: Ava was born in Chicago to a relatively normal family. She grew up admiring heroes in general, and wanted to be like them from a young age. Around the age of ten, she discovered her powers when woke up from a nightmare hovering above her bed. She devoted herself to trying to imitate her favorite heroes, subconsciously adjusting her powers to imitate those of Kryptonians and training at an MMA gym to learn how to effectively fight, with or without her powers. During this time, she became a vigilante, quickly and somewhat effectively taking down criminals without being seen. By the time she graduated from high school, she started focusing on vigilante work, only getting a regular job in order to have an alibi when police would search for her. Currently, she’s gotten her own apartment in the Lake View neighborhood of Chicago, trying to become more like her favorite heroes in spite of her differences.
Extra Info:
She’s 5’10” and multilingual.
Her tactile telekinesis has developed greatly over time, both thanks to her subconscious desires making it more similar to kryptonian powers by default, and due to her experience in using it.
While her overall goals and actions are similar to the heroes she admires most, her methods can differ on occasion. Examples include stealing money from the criminals she beats, using threats and blackmail to keep various gangs and crime families under control, and being willing to kill her enemies in and out of combat.
Due to the nature of her powers, they usually don’t give off a specific visual effect. Her heat vision is the same shade of red as any kryptonian’s, she generates no aura or light when fighting or moving objects, and even when angered enough to use full telekinesis, the only visual effect aside from what her powers do to her environment is her hair floating, while her eyes glow red.
She works part time as a stock clerk at a comic store a few blocks away from her apartment, and often takes advantage of her job to gain access to comics, manga, and posters in advance.
While her apartment is filled with all kinds of merchandise of various heroes, she’s dedicated an entire room to posters, books, and action figures of Superman, Supergirl, and Superboy. She usually keeps the door to it locked, and has been hoping to get a picture with Superman to put in the middle of the room.
Despite considering joining the Justice League on many occasions, she’s stopped herself from doing so each time, believing that she’s “not on their level yet.”
