Weaknesses:
Normal Form:
She lacks any superhuman powers in this form aside from the ability to transform and a passive immunity to radiation.
In order to transform without ruining her clothes, she has to take a few seconds to switch outfits.
Hulk Form:
She can be overwhelmed with enough time and force.
If she releases enough radiation, she’ll start to burn herself and risk excessive collateral damage.
Instead of getting stronger the angrier she gets, she’ll passively release higher levels of gamma radiation, causing her attacks and abilities to become more destructive, both to herself and her environment.
While she’ll stay in Hulk Form if she goes to sleep, getting knocked unconscious can cause her to revert to her Normal Form.
Backstory: Kora Shields was born in Newark, New Jersey to a military family. She grew up with her twin brother, often researching and sharing information on their favorite heroes. When she got the chance, she joined S.H.I.E.L.D to make the most of her engineering skills, as well as to possibly meet and work with several heroes. Though she mainly worked relatively mundane jobs, such as repairing and modifying equipment, her life changed when she was sent on a mission with several field agents. The mission was simply to evaluate and clean a damaged S.H.I.E.L.D base in the Mojave Desert after one of Hulk’s rampages. While she wasn’t injured, she was irradiated by the wreckage of several destroyed vehicles, which was only discovered several hours after she’d done her part in the mission. The effect wasn’t immediately noticed, but due to possessing the gamma gene, she transformed seemingly overnight, waking up in a larger and stronger form. She then spent several weeks being quarantined, tested, and adjusting to her powers, which she would eventually put to use after being sent to stop a prison break in The Raft. Ever since then, she’s become one of a handful of Gamma Mutates working with S.H.I.E.L.D, even befriending several heroes in the process.
Extra Info:
In her normal form, Kora is 6’1”, while she becomes 7’3” in her hulk form.
When fighting hand to hand, Kora normally prefers to restrain and incapacitate her enemies quickly and efficiently. In hulk form, she relies on power, speed, and knowledge of how to use both to overwhelm them.
Though her weaponized gamma emission won’t damage other gamma mutates as much, the force she can release through the blasts created can still hurt them, giving her a range advantage in comparison.
Due to the hassle of carrying around a bag with her clothes in them and switching between outfits before and after missions, Kora created a method of instant outfit switching via an app on her phone. Essentially, her clothes are composed of nanites that switch position and composition to suit whichever form she’s in, allowing her to change outfits in seconds.
As a result of the control she has over her gamma emission when transformed, it’s likely that Kora’s powers will eventually extend to her normal form, though they’ll be limited in comparison.
