Both sword and armor share a single sentience. Their job is to guide me along the path of knowledge and wisdom and protect the Akashic Plane from anything and anyone who seeks its secrets and information for evil/destruction. The name of the mystical owl sentience that both the sword and the armor share is called Kira and they have a fervent passion for new knowledge and experiences as well as an intense hatred for everything and everyone that threatens or destroys the knowledge of the world (whether human or not). Kira allows me to use certain spells, abilities and supernatural arts through sword and armor. As long as the mask is close to me, I can summon the armor and sword at any time. As explained, I must protect the knowledge and secrets of the Akashic plane that entities and other things desire or will desire at all costs and that means traveling throughout Totality (or anywhere knowledge exists). As I am a guardian of sorts, I can also manipulate the Akashic plane but with certain limitations that Kira imposes from time to time and in certain situations.
