The soul is the only thing that we can never lose. it's also intrinsically linked our mind; we could probably also link it to our bodies like Tensura beings.

Remembering that they are just the types of manifestation/control, for example:

•Body: Elemental powers are controlled by the user's body, or are triggered by them, like One Piece or Boku no Hero Academia.

•Mind: Elemental powers are practically controlled and conjured by the user's mind.

•Magic/Mystic: obviously here the user uses his magical or mystical powers to use elemental powers, so the form of control can already be the same or different from the previous 2.

•Science: obviously the user uses scientific knowledge and equipment to control the elements, like, an absurd example, the user makes a robot capable of manipulating the elements.

•Spirit/Soul: here the user already depends on spirits or wandering souls or something like that to be able to control the elements, either transforming these souls or spirits into energy, or asking elemental spirits to control the elements, or receive a portion of their power to do so, and things like that.

But obviously there are some types of powers that are unique to each type, like physiologies that are unique to bodily powers, or psychics that are unique to mental powers.
