I choose the Orb, and it gives me Autopotence because it is also known for me as the Orb of many forms
this is interesting post.
item: tesseract
Power: reality warping
Ring grants the user a complete arsenal
What item you choose: Library
What its powers:
So I was initially going to go for Meta-Learning, but then I had this idea, and I have spent far too long thinking about it to not put it in, even if it is a bit over the top. So, here we go:
The Library is itself the absolute reality, and all totality is but fiction upon the pages of the books within it. To wield the Library's power is to be able to rewrite the books within it, allowing the user to freely alter all aspects of totality, as easily as one could alter a story simply by telling it differently, accessing permissions similar to those of an author over their work.
As a result of this, The Library is the ultimate cosmic keystone from which all things are derived, holding all of totality upon the pages within it. In essence, this makes the user a nexus entity of the highest order.
If a book is destroyed, that corresponds to the absolute erasure of the corresponding aspect of totality. The reverse is true for the creation of a new book, which creates the corresponding aspect of totality.
The user is capable of passing into any of the books within The Library, therefore entering the place it corresponds to. This grants the user the capacity to freely enter, leave and otherwise travel through all totality, being unbound by its restrictions.
The Library is infinite, and split into many different sections and sub-sections. The prime two correspond to the Omniverse and all that is beyond it. There is a single bookshelf that stands in a central section between both categories. This bookshelf contains books corresponding to things that apply to absolutely everything, such as a book of Almighty Laws.
The user inherently possesses the capacity to travel to any desired location or book within The Library, as well as an inherent Omniscience as to what each book contains and what books contain any given thing (this is the kind of Omniscience where they only have the information they want at any given moment).
At the forefront of each section, before any sub-sections, will always stand a bookshelf (or multiple bookshelves) full of books corresponding to things that apply to everything within that section. For example, the Omniverse section will have some corresponding to all omniversal laws, such as those that denote the structure of the omniverse. By rewriting or adding to parts of these books for any given section, the user can freely alter any law in existence.
Within the Omniverse section is infinite different sub-sections, corresponding to different multiverses within the omniverse. These Multiversal sub-sections will have their own rules and laws that every universe/reality within them follows. Within these infinite Multiversal sub-sections lie Universal sub-sections, which will themselves contain sub-sections for different aspects (e.g different dimensions) of the universes/realities.
Every universe will have two primary sub-sections of its own - one containing books that describe all that is and has been, and one describing all that might be. It is important to note that these don't necessarily correspond to the past, present and future, since the past can be rewritten due to things like time travel, but all things (the original past, the changes made, how they were made, etc) are recorded in the books of what has been.
There are books describing these things from every perspective, including that of things that don't have perspectives, and describing them to various degrees depending on how significant it is to the given perspective. For example, the book of an atom's perspective may only describe its interactions with other atoms. However, all books are linked, so alteration of a book from one perspective can be made to reflect in all books. This means that, for example, the alteration of an individual's life story will reflect upon the rest of their universe, and potentially the multi or omniverse, depending on how it is altered (e.g rewriting them as travelling to another universe can be made to affect that universe too, rather than just happening from their perspective).
Text is constantly moving from the books of what might be to the books of what is and from there to the books of what has been, creating change and the flow of time throughout totality (though some sections will have every possibility existing in parallel, existing as a static rather than changing, as well as many other possibilities for structure, denoted by books in the first shelves of the section). Due to the user's position in The Library, they can halt this progression of information to allow for rewriting of the books without constant moving of text, essentially halting the progression of time (or of change, if time does not exist in a given section, or whatever the corresponding concept is within the section).
Rewriting the books at the forefront of each section will alter all books within that section due to changing things that affect everything within the section.
By rewriting or adding to the correct books, the user can essentially change anything in any way, from the origins of anything to the possibilities of what might come next, as well as things beyond and between those. As The Library is more real than totality, with all of it being mere fiction upon the pages of the books within it, the user is themselves beyond all laws and restrictions that totality might impose, and so can be whatever they wish. Should they enter into a book, and therefore enter into the corresponding place/aspect, they retain this capacity, and so have complete freedom to determine their lives, irrespective of the possibilities laid out by the books of what might be and the normally ironclad books of what has been.
What you would do with it:
I would do two main things. One: I would explore totality. I would find books corresponding to universes we would consider fictional or fantasy, especially those with magic, and enter them, having fun and helping out in different ways. I could write myself 'canonical' powers, so to speak, within the verse and spend time in said verse experimenting and messing around. If things go wrong, I can always rewrite it or give myself new canonical powers to resolve the situation, essentially pulling a Deus Ex Machina.
The other thing I would do is... live my life here for quite some time. Safe in the knowledge that I am the only thing that can decide what I do. I might rewrite a few aspects of my life, but not much.
After some time, I would probably allow myself to die a natural death - I don't want immortality - and reincarnate myself, likely into a different book altogether. I could keep doing this for as long as I like. Since even the mental issues that would normally come with immortality are fictional in comparison, this would likely be forever.
@AzQth 😯 Can i request a library card for there plz? XD
@AzQth what about Omnilegence or Encyclopedic Knowledge instead of inherent omniscience?
I choose the crown, and its power is Lordship of all.
So omniarch?
Crown: power is Omnificence
Apparently i can't edit my comment, so i guess i have to make a new one
Item: The impossible tesseract
Abilities: The tesseract is a floating structure made of a variety of smaller cubes. Each cube is capable of encapsulating an "identity" of any target i so desire, allowing me an absolute control and domain over that object
For example, if i were to entrap a flame, i would be able to generate such fire to the infinite degree, and nobody else would be able to manipulate this fire other than me
An interesting perk of this tesseract is that it is, in itself, the embodiment of a paradox. Any object trapped within the cube will be 'locked outside reality', essentially meaning that any object that is trapped can't be manipulated or permanently erased. Or, in other words, any object within a cube is eternally assured to exist.
Paradoxically, the tessaract itself is encapsulated within it's own cube, garaunteeing it's own existence, and ensuring it can't be destroyed or manipulated by any person other than that who it chooses
This ability essentially serves as a direct counter to reality warping or absolute abilities, as within my presence, a target item is locked in existence and other manipulators are forbidden from manipulating that target
One last perk is that i can "bond" multiple cubes in order to make an entirely new concept, essentially allowing for augmentation and engagement of previously existing ideas
How i will use it
My first order of business is to entrap myself within a cube. This will absolutely ensure my existence and autonomy, as well as more perfectly bond myself to the cube. Once that is done, I'm simply going to explore. Since I'm effectively immortal, i can go anywhere. In order to better enhance myself, and grant myself some useful abilities, I'll capture different materials and create new forms and bodies for myself.
What do you think?
