Well, if I'm fighting superman, I must be some sort of villain, so I'll beat him villain-style.
Magic is extremely effective against superman so I wouldn't waste time and would make superman's clothing made out of kryptonite which I would then pin him to the nearest structure for everyone to see with kryptonite rods. And let everyone watch as their symbol of hope slowly die.
