Class Archetypes

Hi.

I was going through the class archetypes when something crossed my mind: would classes be considered a "human" system?

More specifically, of course any race could use magic, science, faith/mysticism etc, but since many classes represent what are more or less human cultures (samurai, druids, clerics), could they be considered more of a human system than a universal one as shown in dnd. I mean an entirely different species like dragons or a little more realistically like aliens would have their own applications of what we call classes would they not? And since many races have natural abilities unlike baseline humans they would have no need for such a system as I understand it.

While the concepts themselves are primarily himan (after all, humans are the ones who made dnd, and are the only sentient creatures known to exist), the classes themselves are designed to be includive of all possible races. If another sentient species existed, perhaps they would create their own classes, but since they don't, of course the classes are going to be conceptually human-centric.

In re:monsters, the class system is usually for humans

@SleepyTact yeah. I've actually seen similar things like that in old mythology legends were half breeds can utilise human classes whereas the nonhuman race of origin can't, which is why I wanted to hear you guys thoughts.
