As more people gained Powers, they soon found something interesting; Scars. And not the kind of Scars one could think of. These Scars were dubbed Usage Marks; Markings and Scars that covered someone should they use their Powers a lot more than they need to.
An example of this are Burn Marks after someone uses any type of Fire too long. Another example could be Magikal Bruising due to overusing one’s Magik.
These Usage Marks are usually permanent, but could be removed by Healing or something like it. However, they also expose to those who despise Powers that a person is a user of said Powers; a Red Flag, in a sense.
To treat Usage Marks, one should immediately stop using their Powers before treating the Marking like a Wound or a reopened Scar. Because like a Scar, a Usage Mark can grow to cover an entire body in less than 24 hours.
