If I'm going into the SCP verse, then I'm not going to risk ending up controlled by a higher narrative writer, or losing my mind to a cognitohazard, or being contained with reality anchors, or something like that. I will be free of everything, so I could do and be whatever I want, however I want, without having to worry about losing my free will or anything like that.
