@SleepyTact Yes, by increasing the speed it would increase the combo counter. But I put weaknesses in place. Taking a hit resets the combo counter, and speed increases will scale out depending on how strong she is herself. When i mean "scale" out, its combo scaling in a fighting game. The damage you deal gets considerably lower the longer the combo so im just applying that principle to her speed increase. So at some points the increases shes hoping for would be basically little to none.

She is gonna have this thing where she can use accumulated hits to deal a devestating blow, but either resets the counter or puts decreases it by a certain quantity. But my only thing with the second option is she could abuse it.

Ex: She achieved 1000 Hits right? She uses an attack using the combo energy which expends 500 hits, putting her down to 500 or even a smaller number and still get the increases infinitely. Thats too OP.

In terms of too op, how op is it within her world's settings

It's probably a good idea to also make it increase her defense or give her something that would protect her from the recoil, we don't want another deku constantly breaking her arms and legs.

@SleepyTact  Theres gonna be people spewing fire, sound, and utilizing ergokinetics. I have a whole combat system. The strongest manipulates space. Her main fighting style is taekwondo.

@Nicholas8293 she trains her body, it'll just be proportionate. So it won't break her body on the speed increase. The only time shed worry about harming herself is using the combo energy accumulated in one blow. Shes gonna have a series of moves called Thousand Fist, one of them is Thousand Fist: Rashomon she does does a double fist attack.

If she so completes a combo-set, well the damage would be quite high

@SleepyTact  She doesnt count it manually, its passive she'll know how much shes at. 1,000 is not the max she can have as many hits as she can before she gets hit. To think of it as a fighting game, she has hitbox. So whatever is in her hitbox (i.e holding something), if it garners a hit then its added on the combo counter. She does know a little bit of boxing, bc her master taught her to only use her feet if need be. "Don't show your strongest assets in the beginning of battle" yk?
