The Creation of Reality
The multiverse was created long ago by the great God known as Chaos, who almost immediately died upon the creation of reality, His consciousness becoming the will of spacetime itself. This will could only be understood and controlled by his children, the Gods of Fate. The Fates, The Three Norns, The Annunaki, Kali, Hemsut, and the eldest sibling, Father Time, alongside many others.
These deities let fate play out as it would, watching from the shadows as The Gods came to be. Shortly after the core of each Pantheon came to be, the Gods of Fate made themselves known, and gave the Gods an offer;
“You may place your hand in the weave of fate, and for every foul consequence, your power shall grow a hundredfold.”
Many of the Gods, not wanting to suffer, abstained, choosing to grow their power level by other means. Among these abstainers were the majority of the Norse Gods, all but the mischievous Odin and Loki. After the other Gods left, Odin and Loki shoved their hands thoroughly into and through the weave. They damned themselves to Ragnarok, yet, grew to be as strong, if not stronger than many of the Gods of Fate, allowing them to control almost all of existence.
Godly Rankings
All gods are equal beneath the Gods of Fate and the Norse Gods. The Gods of Fate are stronger than the Norse Gods, and all other gods are equal overall beneath that.
There is one God from every pantheon that is a member of the Gods of Fate, likely being a reincarnation of an original God of Fate.
All mythology is simultaneously true and false, every myth happening at one of any given infinite point across all of existence
The Nine Realms
There are 9 realms, which are
Midguard
Asgard
Jotunhiem
Muspelheim
Niflheim
Vanaheim
Alfheim
Valhalla
Hellheim
Each realm contains an infinite number of infinite dimensional plains, each following the same general theme (EX: The Realm of Asguard contains the Plains of Asguard, Olympia, The Field of Reeds, etc)
There are four, giant, living trees in every Plain, which are gates between each of the Plains within a realm. At the center of those four trees is a strange, giant branch peeking through the realm. Climbing to the top of that branch brings you onto a branch of Yggdrasil, allowing you to travel from Realm to Realm.
