Humans, “The Sacrificial Lambs”
There are no more full humans left. They all died in Ragnarok. Only resurrected humans, certain Demigods, and former humans remain. There is a very small number of hybrid humans, yet there are so few that it’s barely even a factor.
Elves, “The New Inheritors”
Elves are beings that originate from Vanaheim, looking somewhat similar to humans with more exaggerated features and pointed ears. The Elves were thoroughly integrated with Humanity before Ragnarok, the majority of Elves escaping back to Vanaheim before the destruction of Humanity and the devastation of Midgard. Currently, they are the most prominent species in all of existence. There are three types of Elves; Light, Dark, and High. Light Elves have darker skin and light hair and eyes. They are naturally proficient with runes relating to Light of all kinds, and are physically empowered by the sun and weakened by the moon. Dark Elves have deathly pale skin and dark hair, alongside purple-looking eyes. They are naturally proficient with runes relating to Darkness of all kinds, and are physically empowered by the moon and weakened by the sun. High Elves are “in-between” Elves, a cross of Light and Dark Elf blood. They have no specific magical abilities, yet are empowered by both the sun and moon. They can appear with any trait of either Light or Dark Elves in any combination.
Dwarves, “The Old Inheritors”
Dwarves are beings that originate from one of the Plains of Midgard known as Nidavellir, being strong, stout, and short human-like beings. Similar to Elves, they were thoroughly integrated with Humanity before Ragnarok. Nidavellir was spared from the devastation due to a variety of unique properties. Currently, they are the second most prominent species in all of existence. Dwarvish subraces are generally a thing of the past, as all the Dwarvish subspecies became one over time for safety in numbers. Dwarves can have nearly any physical trait, as long as that trait isn’t being taller than 4’9. They, additionally, are naturally skilled at engraving Runes, and have the unique ability to imbue weapons with magic besides Runes.

They look somewhat similar to Elves, yet are several feet taller, and physically elemental in some way. There are three primary species of Giants: Fire Giants, Ice Giants, and Heavenly Giants. Fire Giants look like red fire demons, originating from Muspelheim. They are generally split into two groups, one serving Surtur, the other fighting against him in a form of rebellion. Ice Giants come from Jotunhiem, and appear with pure white skin and hair, with glowing blue eyes and blue markings. They do not serve any Gods, and instead generally work to help those displaced by Ragnarok, many becoming New Gods. The Heavenly Giants are all dead, as they are The Old Gods. Fire Giants can transform their body into lava and manipulate fire, and Ice Giants can transform their body into ice and manipulate freezing winds.
Buxian/ The Bux’Nkai, “Those of Mind and Mettle”
The Bux’Nkai are strange Bug-People from a distant planet within Jotunheim, looking somewhat similar to Ice Giants, yet with bug-like features. They have dark green, somewhat scaled flesh, with armor-like exoskeleton bits on their shoulders, knees, feet, hands, and on their chests and stomachs. Their eyes are similar to that of a snake, and their mouth can open both horizontally and vertically, their tongues being similar to that of a snake. The Bux’Nkai made themselves known and dramatically more prominent post-Ragnarok, their pseudo-hive-mind empire controlling several universes. The Bux’Nkai have a hivemind-esque intelligence, allowing for Bux’Nkai queens to control several bodies if necessary. Skilled Bux’Nkai scholars can tap into this hive mind to gain incredible intelligence, alongside manipulating psychic energy produced by the shared consciousness. Lastly, people of other species can be added to the hivemind, slowly transforming them into Bux’Nkai.
Solvians, “They Who Are Blessed By The Sun”
The Solvian People originate from a distant planet in Hellheim, presumably what many of the souls left in Hellheim became after Hela’s death. The Solvians were protected from Surtur’s wrath by Solvi, the Daughter of Sol, and the New Aesir Sun Goddess, hence their name. They look very similar to humans, with deathly grey skin and pure white hair. All of the Solvians can tap into Solvi’s power, and both generate and manipulate sunlight.
Volsian, “The New Humanity”
The Volsian People originate from a planet deep in Midgard, yet fled during Ragnarok. They ran to hide in the tree, and after all was said and done, they claimed what remained of Valhalla as their new homeland. The Volsians are the most similar to Humans genetically, yet have blue, green, purple, silver, or golden skin, accompanied by rune-like markings across their body. Each color of Volsian has a unique ability, and some strange physical change. Blue Volsians can passively manipulate and breathe underwater, having tentacle-like hair. Green Volsians can speak with nearly any other sentient creature and can photosynthesize. Purple Volsians do not need to sleep, and can see in the dark. Silver Volsians have skin as durable as metal, and are immune to poison. Golden Volsians have naturally incredible physiques, and are almost entirely resistant to magic, yet they cannot use it.
Catruks, “The People Of The Ice”
The Catruks are strange, cat-like people, appearing almost like humans, yet with feline-esque features, such as ears, tails, fur, etc. They originate from Jotunheim, manually evolved by the New Goddess Kottir from sentient cat-like beasts that scavenged the snowy wastes. Hybridized Powers
The natural powers of a hybrid are either:
One of their parent’s powers, with the other expressed minorly
Half-strength versions of both of their parent’s powers
Something entirely new based upon a combination of those powers
Full-strength versions of both of their parent’s powers (Not Recommended)
Demigods
Demigods are the children of a God of any kind and a Mortal of any kind, normally appearing as a mutated and/or divine version of their Mortal parent’s species. They are, similarly, exceptionally powerful.
