I pick science, for science can be controlled. Even though magic is powerful, its uncontrollable nature makes it so that the chance of things going wrong is huge compared to science. Also, magic is just science we do not understand.

Agreed with science being more controllable and science can also tame magic in a way.

By mastery I can rightfully assume the user has profound knowledge and experience which includes proper understanding. So yes magic

They're both equal to a degree but the way I see it science is superior because one with mastery of science I can emulate magical energy & counter it aka generate anti-magic like Captain Atom.
