If a being gains the bodily functions of a different creature, does that mean they’re bodily structure also changes?

Think about it, Physiological phenomena such as genetic code (Nucleic Acids), body altering chemicals (Hormones), diet and exercise have functions that alter the body structure, in other words, physiology that alters the anatomy.

Despite the fact that I mentioned that we might be using physiology in the wrong context, another part of me thinks maybe if a user was granted a different physiology, their anatomy would also change to a degree. Do you think this would also be true?

Because they’re metabolism changed, the reactions within their biochemistry are rewritten. Because the chemical make up of their body changed, the bodily functions are different, this includes the development of the body.

There is like two interpretations or context this could go, like either you become the race or mimic the race, I think it was? Me brain funky
