Ah, but symbiotes that you perceive to be average has the potential and capability to becomes gods, and already strong enough to beat Hulk, thanks to both Absolute Carnage and Death of the Venomverse, the key is the host and their codexes, they don't need bodies to inhabit, it's using and stealing their powers for their own benefit, to point of removing their limitations and weaknesses, if not already have the willpower to resist heat and sound in certain situations, it's not like humans are already weak to heat and sound anyway.

Blue Beetle's scarab also does that, but you can convince it to be cooperative and use it to take out the thing that wants to do the fuckery to your brain. It's also a bit more versatile and you get a little buddy you can talk to

The thing about symbiotes, if it's unlike carnage, it learns and tries to act like the host, as if you are aggressive or in a hostile environment spending your time fighting, then it becomes like an angry animal, but if you show it the ropes it becomes calmer and wiser, and those traits were passed down for the next host, unless the host acts differently which effects the symbiote again, and if the symbiote is different, it also can affect the host itself.

The symbiotic costume is awesome. It provided users new abilities or enhance their existing ones without corrupting them just like the symbiotes from Marvel Comics.
