Necro resurgence can cause massive destruction and death for those within its local domain, oftentimes the death having been related to the same way the original host died while still alive.

So it’s basically like bad mojo, a Jinx that manifests in that location, causing people to die or get hurt badly there. Possibly in the same way that the previous person died.
