Just a random question but if you were an airbender, who smoked would this affect your capabilities as an airbender or would your abilitie to control air negate this fact?
Not in this case. From what i understand, these abilities are intrinsically linked to health of specific organs. If ones lungs are shot, they cannot breathe properly. If they cannot breathe properly, their ability to mold chi through their lungs is hindered. At least, that's how the understanding functions in classical Wuxing
I'm assuming we're using cigarette's as an example. I would say due to your ability to control air would negate this. You could just as easily as draw the smoke out of your mouth with a wave of your palm then use it as an attack.
