The Hellbug Scourge
The Hellbugs are invaders from an unknown origin, bathed in fire and generally described as “Beasts from hell,” hence the name.
They are considered to be the greatest threat to the safety of all other sentient life in the universe
What we know
1. Size
Hellbugs normally range from 9 feet to 9999.9 feet tall. The vast majority are as large as school buses. Normally, size is equated to rank within Hellbug society, with Hellbug Queens being the largest
2. Intelligence
Hellbugs range in intelligence within their various subspecies. Some are just as if not more intelligent than humans. From what we can understand, Hellbugs have a complex culture and detailed religious beliefs. For an unknown reason, they are hell-bent on our destruction, and are not willing to negotiate. They are a partial hive mind. All are independent beings, with their thoughts monitored and altered by a higher power, their “Mother Queen,” or as we have taken to calling her, “The Hellbug Empress”
3. Physiology
Hellbugs have physiology similar to that of earthly bugs on a comical scale, normally combined with physiological aspects of some other species, primarily large reptiles and primates. This is just our understanding, however, as Hellbug bodies usually disintegrate upon execution. The vast majority of Hellbugs are similar to a combination of a chimpanzee and a worker ant.
4. Integration
Hellbugs have a unique ability to take members of other species hostage and convert them into “Pseudo-hellbugs,” with the physiology of a Hellbug and their base species, fully loyal to the Hellbug hive-mind. These are used to infiltrate society and potentially develop new subspecies of Hellbug. Occasionally, these Pseudo-Hellbugs are fully mutated into Hellbugs.
Grading Scale
Almost all Hellbugs are graded on a scale of 1-10, with 1 being the least destructive, and 10 being the most. Usually, they are graded on a decimal scale, ending after one place. Here are the ranks
1- Non-Threat
Can be handled by local law enforcement. Highly Possible to contain and experiment on.
2 - Building Threat Level
Powerful enough to destroy a residential building. Possible to contain. May require extra assistance
3- Village Level Threat
Powerful enough to destroy a small to medium sized town. Unlikely to contain. Requires extra assistance
4- City Level Threat
Powerful enough to wipe out a city. Highly unlikely to contain. Requires the assistance of Special Anti-Hellbug forces.
5- Island-Level Threat
Powerful enough to wipe an island off the map. Impossible to Contain. Requires the assistance of Special Anti-Hellbug forces.
6- Country-Level Threat
Powerful enough to eliminate an entire country. Impossible to Contain. Requires the assistance of Special Anti-Hellbug forces.
7- Continent-Level Threat
Powerful enough to level a continent. Impossible to Contain. Requires Guardian 22.
8- Multi-Continental Level Threat
Powerful enough to level several continents. Impossible to Contain. Requires Guardian 22
9- Hemisphere Level Threat
Powerful enough to destroy an entire hemisphere of planet earth. Impossible to Contain. Requires Guardian 22 and all possible military forces
10- Life-Eradicator Level Threat
Powerful enough to eradicate all life on planet earth. Impossible to Contain. Requires Guardian 22 alongside all possible military forces and the assistance of nearly all able-bodied people on and off Earth.
Unranked Hellbugs
There are a few “Unranked Hellbugs,” which are either so dangerous or so harmless that it is completely pointless to rank them. They are as follows
Hellbug Queens
Hellbug Queens are simultaneously the most and least dangerous Hellbugs imaginable. They are immobile, and cannot fight, but constantly give birth to hundreds if not thousands of Hellbugs of any given class.
Pseudo-Hellbugs
The majority of Pseudo-Hellbugs are barely superhuman, the strongest pseudo-hellbug who did not abandon their humanity only achieved Rank 3. Most pseudo Hellbugs can be handled by local law enforcement
Planet-Eaters
The second largest type of Hellbug. It is only theoretical, based upon rough images gathered from the seemingly destroyed James Webb telescope. It is a hellbug so large that it eats entire planets, carrying other Hellbugs as a demented form of space travel.
The Hellbug Empress
A Hellbug almost as large as two Planet-Eaters, able to fight on an almost unrivaled level and constantly spawning dozens and dozens of Hellbugs of all classes, including other Queens. There is only one, and it is nowhere near Earth. If it is to somehow arrive in Earth’s general radius, it is better to annihilate ourselves then allow it to claim us as food.
