So I'm going to have some self-imposed restrictions, just to make the powerset a bit more interesting than I normally end up with (in that I often just end up with all the most powerful I can get that I would actually want).
Not sure if this was already the case, but rather than just picking powers from the three different categories, they outright can't be in any of the other two categories.
None of the powers should completely overshadow the others.
None of the powers should fulfil the exact same role as another.
I definitely want an absolute-level capability, which will be somewhat difficult to fit around the second restriction, but I can manage. It will likely need to be a complementary power or one which is limited in direct influence to keep with the restriction. I also want some kind of passive defenses and an active ability which, if not a reality warping power, should be able to achieve those kinds of effects.
What three categories did you select out of all of the options you have?
Reality Manipulation for the active power.
Defensive Abilities for the passive defenses.
Absolute Powers for the absolute-level capability.
What power from each category due to choose to have and why?
Diverse Interface from Reality Manipulation - by its nature, it’s a highly versatile ability that can potentially influence anything and everything. Given enough time and development, it could become functionally equivalent to Omni-Manipulation.
Automatic Defense from Defensive Abilities - pairs well with the broad-reaching nature of Diverse Interface, since it allows for utilisation of the ability for defense without needing to think about (or even know about) the thing being defended from. In this way, due to pairing with Diverse Interface, it can potentially defend from anything.
Absolute Potential from Absolute Powers - one of the few absolute powers that gives access to absolute-level capabilities that wouldn’t also overshadow the other powers. Rather, it compliments them, especially since Diverse Interface primarily provides the interaction itself, requiring the user to learn how to take advantage of that interaction or affect the nature of the interaction to take full control.
So with this combination of abilities, the rate at which I can develop my skills with Diverse Interface, as well as the extent to which I can do so, is affected by Absolute Potential, thus allowing me to easily achieve capabilities functionally equivalent to any manipulation ability. Due to Automatic Defense, this naturally translates into a capacity to defend against basically anything. So every power taken improves and compliments the others, and each fulfils a different role.
Now that you have powers, will you continue to live in this point in time or do a temporal rewind to have some kind of restart?
I will continue to live at this point in time. I feel like I would lose too much by resetting to a prior point, though there would certainly be something I would change once I become skilled enough with Diverse Interface. Though thanks to Absolute Potential, that shouldn't take long.
And now the new you, the new superpower you, has been unleashed upon reality. What will you do with your new superpowered self?
For the most part (excepting the change I mentioned before), my day to day life would be the same. I might make some quality of life improvements, ones that I wouldn't be able to make normally, but otherwise it would be the same. If it's something I could do without my power, I would prefer to do it without. Absolute Potential would certainly make university easier though, and that's something that's kind of unavoidable; I still have to put in the effort to learn though, so that's fine.
Beyond this, I would want to explore our own universe, as well as other realities, especially those we would consider fantasy/fictional, just to have fun and help out here and there.
I would also feel an obligation to help our own world, though I would want to do it in a way that wouldn't infringe on free will or require direct interference by way of powers. Probably lots of very minor alterations to probability, as I've talked about previously, though it's entirely possible that with these powers I would come up with a better way. I would also give certain individuals, like @Abdalla1234, powers as well.
In terms of these powers specifically, I feel like I would start with getting the hang of Diverse Interface on a physical object, since I wouldn't end up destroying reality or something if I get it wrong. Once I have full control over whatever object I chose (including reshaping its atoms and sub-atomic particles), I would move on to the laws of physics, though I would keep it to a small area so as not to accidentally affect the universe as a whole. I would likely alter gravity within the area, since that doesn't risk accidentally causing nuclear fusion/fission reactions or anything like that, and it's easy to see the effects occuring. Once I feel comfortable with Physics, I might move on to metaphysical phenomena, though again, I would keep it to a small area for now. Perhaps I would begin with manifesting an (otherwise mundane) object from imagination into reality, since that's relatively tame and easy to tell if it worked. Then maybe alterations to probability - I could get a coin and affect the probability of it landing on heads, and once I have that mastered I could try the probabilities of more complex events. I would keep going in this manner over some time until I have many fields mastered to absolute levels.
