Can someone with Absolute Invulnerability survive the destruction of all totality?
Can someone with Absolute Invulnerability survive the destruction of all totality?
Depends if totality is being destroyed by an omnipotent entity then no they will never survive
If it's not omnipotent then they can survive
Yea due to absolute Invulnerability being absolute , if It can't survive the destruction of totality then it ain't absolute.
No. The character is part of the totality, not separate from it. Anything powerful enough to destroy the totality itself also destroys its parts, which includes the character.
Let's keep thinking about this. Say there is a Dark User with the power of Totality Destruction and he activates it. How many Users of Absolute powers will be resisting?
Suppose in the entire Totality, there are:
2000 Users with Absolute Will,
2000 Users with Absolute Command,
2000 Users with Absolute Wish,
2000 Users with Absolute Space-Time Manipulation, and
2000 Users with Absolute Force Manipulation.
So, the Dark User activates his power and immediately 10000 Users of Absolute-level powers attempt to stop the destruction. What happens? Well, the post tells us that the Totality is getting destroyed. So this particular Dark User is already overcoming any number of Absolute-level powers (in this case, we're supposing 10000).
As soon as we posit successful Totality-level destruction, we posit a force that already has to overcome any number of Absolute-level powers. So, not looking very good for any of them to be surviving this.
The good news is, no one has ever successfully destroyed our Totality, or we wouldn't be here. So I suspect that Dark User in for an ass-kicking. Then again, he may have succeeded and this is Totality 2.0....
More good news: Dark User was part of Totality 1.0 and destroyed himself along with it. So, he's not here to ruin us in Totality 2.0. Be happy.
Yes.
That level of invulnerability is made exactly for existing without totality.
@Two-of-Six What can survive Totality Destruction? @LimittlesRealm How so?
@Necropolis00 Is the Omnipotent Being the Embodiment of the Totality, or is he Omnilocked outside of it? If we're positing at the outset that the Totality actually is destroyed, then the Embodiment gets destroyed (although it makes no sense for the OB to be destroyed, that's what is positedāin which case He wasn't the OB after all, just a very great Embodiment). If the OB is Omnilocked outside the Totality, sure, he survives.
It's too bad @DYBAD 's old page for Omni-Creator got the axe a year ago or so. It beautifully resolved a number issues with Omnipotence. He posited that all the difference OBs from all the different fictions were the same entity in different guises. So Gan, the One-Above-All, Featherine, Azathoth, and the Presence, etc, were all the same entity. That page should be brought back.
At some point, these concepts being to fray inside our heads. "I've got Absolute Attack and you've got Absolute Defense and we fight...." At some point they just start to implode. Remember, we're not even at Peak Human Intelligence and we're trying to fathom and create an orderly system for comprehending these things: omnipotence, Absolute Powers, Meta-Concept Manipulation, and so forth. Occasionally I just step back and say, "WTF are we even talking about?" There was this poll and one of the options was Meta-Concept Manipulation. My thought was, "Hey, I know MCM is more powerful than this other choice, but the other choice I understand."
I don't know if I answered your question because I'm grappling with it too.
@Two-of-Six Why did they take down Omni-Creator? I understand that these are difficult questions, but someone has to ask them, even if they melt our brains and defy everything we know about logic.
This is the guy you need to talk to: @DYBAD . Many of our very best pages were his work. Nor so-so or okay pages, The very best and most classic pages.
@Two-of-Six What classic pages are his? I know of one: Psycho Warping.
What do you think?
