@Abdalla1234 Not all of us, but many. If someone has elaborate fantasies about what they would do with powers, and genuinely believes that they would act out those fantasies if given those powers, then they are chunibyo. I'm sure there are also many who have elaborate fantasies about characters with powers but wouldn't act them out if given powers, in which case they are not chunibyo.

Watching through the video again, one thing I think is worth noting is that the chunibyo archetype is specifically about having elaborate fantasies or delusions about oneself and one's own importance or power and actively indulging in them. For example, if you have fantasies about entering a particular fictional world and, given powers, you go there, that is not in and of itself chunibyo. If, on the other hand, you have fantasies about being a great hero, warlord, celebrity, or some other role of importance - whether in a fictional world or not - and you get powers and use them to become that role and act out that fantasy, that is chunibyo.

Based on the latter half of my previous reply, I'm not actually sure if I would be chunibyo if I were to gain powers. Mainly because while I would certainly want to explore other realities, actually acting out fantasies in them is a very different matter. For instance, I am under no illusion that I share the same confidence irl that I do in my fantasies, which alone presents significant evidence that no, I would not be able to bring myself to act out those fantasies, even if I were to be given the powers needed to do so.

Compare this to a character like Cid, who absolutely has the same confidence in himself as he does in his fantasies, and so has no issue with indulging in those fantasies. He also has a very self-centered world view that causes him to disregard pretty much all collateral damage from him doing this.

Wait, wait, what is the context and scenario of the situation within this question, like is it an isekai or if we realize that we living in a story, and we beginning the start of us being a star? Then it make sense if we are chunibyo or not.

I've assumed that this was just 'if you were to gain your favourite powers, what character archetypes do you think would best describe you?', though looking at the original post, you're right that there does seem to be some kind of implied fictionality. After all, you can't really be a protagonist if you're not in a story.

@Neosaiyan7 Well, it will take me time to actually build confidence so I won't be Gigachad right off the bat. I can only fantasise like a Chunibyo (although I might not do Son stuff that I fantasise about).

@Neosaiyan7 yeah, that would definitely be chunibyo. To be honest, with the majority of powers, becoming a masked superhero and fighting crime is... well, it's likely one of the worst ways to actually help. Even moreso with the higher-end powers on here, where if you really wanted to help and do so directly, you genuinely could just solve world hunger and the like with a thought. If you have these kinds of powers and yet choose to become a masked superhero, you're either ridiculously short-sighted (somehow believing that it's the best way to go about helping) or you're a chunibyo. Most likely the latter.

(As a bit of a tangent, this reminded me of Tom Scott's video "So you've learned to teleport", which looks at the mechanics of teleportation and what you could actually do with it if you had it in the same way that many comic heroes do)
