This is a continuation of a story spanning multiple posts and the finale of this little post anthology thing though I do intend to make a post of chapter 2(machinebloods) I may revisit this story also either for adaptation into a medium of fiction or other things but this is and chapter 2 are the end of this way of how this story is told.
The world is quite different from when the blood of man first began to change. Instead of humans and the other bloods there exist primebloods humanoid animals with elemental abilities. Do to wars in the past by the precursor races the original society had collapsed and world had been left a post apocalyptic phantom land. Fortunately even in utter darkness there is hope. With their abilities the new race rebuilt the world or well built a new world out of the old one.
Current society is a semi steampunk esc world with bits of the digital age as well. Earth has been renamed Hemixes and the 4 biggest and strongest nations are:
Combustar a rich empire of power and prestige but also hedonism and liable to corruption
Junglen the society wishing to fully integrate itself and nature
Silique the lone cities far out in the dessert drenched in mystery
Gearfate a more calm nation compared to the rest and most focused repair of the old world
However even in this thought to be final form of humanity there is yet another new race evolving of the primebloods. These are the Divine bloods who can wield two elements have a form that is a (non deity) mythological beast as apposed to natural beasts.
Divine bloods are rare but have immense power a divine blood’s animal is usually connected to one of their elements and there elements are opposites of each other. A divine blood has 3 main abilities alongside their natural animal abilities one being their classic mythical power infused with the element they share a relation to. The second being that ability infused with the opposite element and the 3rd being a special born of all three attributes of their being.
Take a phoenix for example they would get Fire and Water(well more likely ice but let’s go with water) they would have there first ability be fiery combustion and regeneration their second would be exploding into a tidal wave of water and regeneration and third would be a Steam cyclone.
