Force is the push or pull on an object that makes it move, stop, or change direction. Energy is what powers that action and makes force possible. If you control force, you could push a car with your mind. If you control energy, you could create wind or a blast that pushes the car. Force manipulation is about directly controlling movement and impact, while energy manipulation is about controlling the power behind those actions, hence, the reason why it’s stated not to be confused with each other.
