Personally, I would travel back in time to before Ai did anything stupid and before anyone died. I would then prevent any bad things from happening and help Ai with her issues. Once that was done, I would "ensure" the existence of Ruby and Aqua myself.

Sounds like a pretty harsh thing to do, as you would be directly causing untold amounts of suffering just for your own entertainment. Traveling through a pre-existing multiverse is one thing, but intentionally creating alternate realities on a whim is not justifiable. You would be creating another reality where bad things happen just to see how it goes, making you directly responsible for the fate of everyone in that alternate world.
