I love symbiotes
Me too
Me who chose “if they’re chill enough”
Also @Neosaiyan7 I liked the extra detail you gave
I'd be down if they were like Anti venom from Spider-Man 2 or from the comics
I always liked symbiotes and of course I would like to bond with them. Although I should be careful that they don't try to manipulate me.
@Neosaiyan7 this is very interesting. I've always thought that symbiotes aren't inherently evil but just misunderstood, and their hosts don't understand them either and always jump to conclusions and label them as bad.
This explains why Carnage became so such a ruthless villain even after he left Cletus.
What do you think about Toxin?
@Manuele9 Well first Toxin story kind of shows that, it's just a child, and with it's host and bonding situation, they take turns, it has full control at night while the host can choose to have the symbiote form during the day, if I remember how that story went. It acted like a child, both Spider-Man and Black Cat tried to teach it the right ways, while Venom and Carnage feared it, but and it showed that growth of good.
But soon during when Eddie Brock was no longer Venom, it went in a symbiote/host killing spree, and somehow bonded to Toxin, and must've made Toxin itself want to kill Venom itself and see it as evil (clearly this might be because after Venom left Eddie it became outright villain, and Eddie had cancer because of the bonding, so Eddie might have had a grudge, and you know about his grudges, especially Spider-Man), so Toxin became more aggressive, but only towards Venom, since he had some control or respect in certain situations.
But for now it seems like once it returned in King in Black or Extreme Carnage, that it's now the Hero but more mature, and learns it's safer to bond with kids due to their behaviour to protect others.
Venom at the time is good example, he both corrupt hosts while the hosts he had actually encouraged his behaviour, enhancing his traits of villainy, since he bonded to mafia kid and scorpion after Eddie Brock, that's why Flash Thompson at first struggled and needed drugs to calm it and gain control, but I guess after a long exposure and depending on it without the drugs must've further the bond.
@Neosaiyan7 oh yeah, I remember a part in the comics when Toxin broke Patrick's PC and feeling guilty, he went to take a new one during night, not realizing he stole that and it wasn't right.
The reason Venom and Carnage feared him, was because every new spawn is much stronger than the previous. A clear example is Carnage, who managed to overpower both Venom and Spider-Man. So Toxin is stronger than Spider-Man, Venom and Carnage together.
It seems that the hosts themselves influence the symbiotes, in fact, when bonded to Eddie, Toxin was much more aggressive, almost forgetting what he had learned with Patrick. But then he returned as a hero after the events of Knull and bonded with a teen host.
Yeah, I read that Venom had to be "cleansed" of his villain traits. Once that, it was a totally different symbiote.
I’m choosing the symbiote, their flawed and complicated being just like us so I want to try and understand my symbiote as an equal not just a weapon or source of power. We are partners, fear and mistrust are only going to make things worse.
