I'm assuming both are the absolute level, multiverse travel type shit.

Portal creation doubles as shields, and i feel like it'd be cool bringing a whole mountain of lava from a dimension completely composed of lava to the fight, and having it all rain down on your enemies as you place a portal above you effectively serving as an umbrella to redirect any lava you don't like.

Portal creation seems more versatile but completes the same goal.

I can think of multiple ways to use portal creation

Personally I want a sort of mix of both, where I can create a portal that destroys itself after I travel thru it, go farther than 1 meter away from it, or exist for more than 1 second (unless something is travelling thru it)

Portal Creation risks people being capable of following me into another destination. Would rather teleport than to have someone use my portals. It's like using my toothbrush, you're not allowed to touch it!

Portals. For one, it's versatile, and it's a lot safer than Teleportation. And for Mr.Interest worry. You could always make it so that you or only the ppl or thing that you allow can pass through your portals.

Prefer portal creation

Teleportation, though I think portal has more range but it depends, plus I wanna do it straightforward.

Unless i could remotely move the portals with great speed, or maybe switch what portals each portal is connected to without opening a new one,

Or maybe selectively allowing entry?
