"My heart’s a ninja too—it sneaks up on people! True love must be like my Ofuda cranes: delicate, glowy, and sometimes... violently explosive!"

Appearance
Kinchou is short and sprightly, with light cyan hair tied high in a bouncy ponytail and equally bright cyan eyes that shimmer with constant curiosity. Her pointed chin, soft cheeks, and naturally pouting lips give her a perpetual look of mischief and charm. Her expressions are animated, shifting easily from dreamy daydreams to sharp-eyed focus.
She wears a black kunoichi kimono in a stylized semi-leotard cut—sleeveless and cinched at the hips, showing her fishnet armwear and pantyhose underneath. The outfit is stylish and functional, allowing full mobility in combat while also giving her the flirty silhouette she likes. A flowing hagoromo (spiritual sash) trails behind her with every move. She wears light ninja combat sandals and always keeps kunai hidden... everywhere.
Personality
Yui, now Kinchou, is a burst of joy and emotion in every moment. She is endlessly optimistic and rarely serious for more than a few seconds at a time, unless someone she cares about is hurt. Having grown up a full-blown romantic and romance anime/manga addict, Yui brought her love of love into the Fantasy Multiverse—with full force. Her dream is simple: find “the love of her life”, someone with deep emotional mystery, a tragic past, and a sensitive but passionate heart. Unfortunately, her type is so wildly specific—"an emotionally suppressed badass with untapped romantic potential and soft eyes but a steel will”—that she keeps rejecting everyone she meets, often with a cute smile and a saying that "they aren't brooding enough!".
Despite being a killer by trade, Kinchou has a strong aversion to fear and violence for its own sake. She sees assassination as a job but insists on leaving behind a sense of peace, often joking with her victims or offering them sweets before they die. Her motto is: “If I have to kill you, I’ll at least make it beautiful”. She’s even made enemies blush and smile in their final moments. In some twisted way, she thinks she’s offering mercy.
She’s extremely loyal to Morvainne, whom she respects as a mysterious, misunderstood, elegant woman—basically, everything Kinchou wishes her future partner would be. She sees Morvainne as her role model, crush and romantic rival at once (yes, she has a crush on her own queen), much to Morvainne’s confusion. Kinchou’s affections extend to both genders, but her standards remain sky-high. Though bubbly, she isn’t clueless—she notices everything, and beneath the cuteness lies a brain of precise intuition, especially in social contexts.
Ironically, her seemingly chaotic, flirtatious, and free-spirited energy is the perfect counterbalance to the order-obsessed Morvainne; and Kinchou really likes to ask people what's their own type. She thrives on unpredictability, following her heart and instincts more than strategy. That said, she still follows Morvainne’s commands with a smile—unless she thinks a more “romantic” approach would be better, in which case she improvises, leaving everyone baffled but somehow successful.
Powers and Abilities
Blessed Physiology: Though technically human, Kinchou is blessed by the Elemental Spirit of Wind, a force of freedom and unpredictability. This blessing grants her an enhanced body suited for high-speed movement, aerial combat, and trickery. Wind flows with her every move, enhancing her grace, speed bursts, and giving her a literal “light-footed” presence—she can land silently, leap further, and occasionally use wind to carry herself mid-air. This makes her one of the most elusive targets on the battlefield, even if she trips often.
Superhuman Strength: Kinchou isn’t a powerhouse like other reincarnated heroes, but she possesses strength beyond normal humans. She can break bones, leap high, and deal impactful blows, especially when using wind-enhanced kicks or when striking weak points. She’s trained in precise, swift takedowns instead of brute force, favoring clean, targeted hits. While she's the weakest of Morvainne’s knights in raw strength, she compensates with unpredictability and speed.
Superhuman Speed: Her base running speed is impressive—on par with arrows and fast-spellcasters. However, her real speed comes from her wind-burst dashes, letting her vanish and reappear in bursts of motion. That said, she’s clumsy. Kinchou often stumbles, misjudges footing, or slips when she’s flustered, especially when someone she finds cute is nearby. It’s not uncommon to see her zoom into action, trip mid-flip, then recover with a sheepish grin. When powered by the forces of wind, she can increase her speed (and clumsiness).
Superhuman Reflexes: While her physical balance is questionable, her reflexes are top-tier. Kinchou can dodge multiple attacks at once, deflect incoming projectiles with kunai, and counter midair if needed. She reacts faster than she thinks—quite literally—making her defensive instincts razor sharp.
Invulnerability: As with most reincarnated beings blessed by Rax, Kinchou's body has supernatural resilience. She can take sword strikes, magic blasts, and long falls without suffering permanent damage. Her body “bounces” in ways that seem cartoonishly forgiving—often getting up from things that would kill others with a bruised ego and puffed cheeks. While not indestructible, it's incredibly difficult to land a fatal blow on her, and even if they do so, it's difficult to her body actually make that damage notable.
Superhuman Agility: This is where she shines. Kinchou’s flips, contortions, and unpredictable movements make her a blur in close quarters. She can twist midair, flip through tight spaces, and bounce between walls with ninja-like grace. Unfortunately, if she’s flustered, she might spin into a wall by mistake.
Superhuman Stamina: Kinchou can keep moving long after normal humans would drop. She can fight, run, sneak, or flirt for hours without rest. This is especially useful in espionage missions, prolonged fights, or marathon romantic pursuits (she’s chased someone across five city rooftops just to confess—only to change her mind mid-chase).
Regenerative Healing Factor and Immortality: Like all who’ve been reincarnated through Rax’s divine trickster intervention, Kinchou is functionally immortal. She doesn’t age, doesn’t suffer permanent injury, and can recover from wounds rapidly. Slashes close in seconds, bones snap back in place, and even poisons eventually get purged from her system. While she still feels pain and can be stunned or knocked unconscious, she always bounces back—with a wink, a laugh, or a romantic metaphor about how “love heals faster".
Aetherial Essence Manipulation: Kinchou, as an adept Arcanist, possesses the ability to manipulate the Aetherial Essence—a potent and versatile energy that permeates the universe. Drawing upon this mystical force, she can shape and channel the essence to perform extraordinary feats. Kinchou's proficiency in Aether Essence Manipulation enables her to craft spells, create magical barriers, and unleash bursts of energy in alignment with her affinity. Intriguing, her aetherial energies are always replenished the more love she feels. Indeed, her magic is empowered by love.
Spell and Inscription Casting: Despite being mostly physical in nature, Kinchou is well-versed in aetherial essence manipulation—specifically through paper-based spellwork, calligraphy, and charms. She uses scrolls, talismans, and inscriptions written with spiritual ink to cast various support or illusion-based spells. These can be used for traps, barriers, binding effects, or stealth enhancements. She doesn’t require long incantations—just a flick of her brush and a small chant—and she carries dozens of pre-prepared charms hidden in her clothes.
Air Magic: Her main magical domain is the wind, which she controls with finesse, speed, and grace. She can summon gales to push enemies back, form slicing wind blades, create tornado-like bursts to confuse enemies, or use compressed air to launch herself or allies around the battlefield. Her wind isn't brute-force like a storm—it’s agile, sharp, and fast, reflecting her own nature. She often uses small breezes to whisper across rooms, carry sound, or guide her origami illusions.
Godai Manipulation: In addition to wind, Kinchou has minor control over the other Godai elements—fire, water, earth, and void. While none are nearly as refined as her wind control, she can use them in supportive ways. For example, she might conjure a puff of smoke (fire+void), dampen a floor to slip an opponent (water), or briefly raise a small earthen barrier. They're usually secondary tactics or used through special scrolls and talismans.
Cherry Blossom Manipulation and Mimicry: A rare side effect of her wind blessing, Kinchou has bonded with the essence of cherry blossoms—a symbol of fleeting beauty and speed. She leaves behind floating sakura petals when she moves, creating an eerie battlefield trail. These petals sap the speed and momentum of enemies who touch them, effectively slowing them. She can use them to create “zones” of slow or haste, depending on intent. In her advanced forms, she can make allies faster or even cloak herself in a storm of petals for a temporary speed boost and near-invisibility.
Ninja and Combat Magic: Kinchou blends traditional ninja arts with aetherial trickery. She uses classic shinobi weapons—shuriken, kunai, smoke bombs—but enhances them with magical properties like teleportation effects, illusions, or elemental enchantments. She can conjure clones using decoy magic, hide in shadow using spiritual cloaking, or instantly vanish with substitution spells. Her toolkit is vast, unpredictable, and full of gimmicks meant to mislead and overwhelm.
Ofuda Manipulation: Kinchou is a master of ofuda, enchanted paper talismans she folds into origami constructs. These can become full-sized beasts (like tigers or hawks), humanoid warriors, or duplicates of herself. These constructs aren’t just illusions—they can physically interact with the world and confuse enemies with real attacks or fake-outs. She also uses them for traps (exploding talismans), scouts (birds with her vision), or exorcism. Her favorite is the kamikaze paper crane, a cute bird that dive-bombs enemies in a graceful explosion of wind and light.
Arcane Ascendance
Sakura no Senkō Arashi: When Kinchou enters Arcane Ascendance, she becomes the epitome of wind and fleeting beauty, her body glowing with gentle cyan light and cherry blossoms endlessly swirling around her. Her voice gains a melodic echo, and her hair flows like a breeze even in stillness. In this form, her speed becomes erratic and nearly untouchable, and her illusions gain real form—her origami soldiers act like full-fledged warriors. Petals become razors, the wind screams at her command, and her Ofuda spells can blanket entire battlefields. The terrain becomes her stage—gusts, blossoms, illusions, and laughter blend into a haunting ballet. At the peak of this ascension, she can summon "Kamikaze no Hime" (Princess of the Divine Wind), a colossal cherry blossom storm with a paper phoenix at its core that consumes everything in a graceful explosion of wind and charm.
Abilities
Ninjutsu Mastery and Unpredictability: To be clear—she’s not trained. Everything she does is based on what she thinks ninjas should do: dramatic poses, whispering catchphrases, and tossing smoke bombs mid-sentence. Yet somehow, her illusions, stealth moves, and tricky escapes look masterful to outsiders. Her antics are so off-script that even veteran warriors can’t figure her out. She improvises everything but it all lines up with actual ninjutsu traditions—just by total accident.
Master Combatant and Kinchou Arts Mastery: Kinchou proudly invented her own martial art—“Kinchou-Ryū”—which is, in practice, a collection of wild dodges, playful spins, and confusing fake-outs that look utterly ridiculous. She claims it's "guided by the heart", not training (she refuse to do actual training). Despite its nonsensical nature, it works because of her unpredictable movements and sheer refusal to be serious. She often trips, rolls, or jumps into attacks in ways that somehow make her harder to hit. It's not traditional martial arts—it's her own chaotic choreography of effective messiness.
Weapon Proficiency: Kinchou has a strong preference for flashy and stylish weapons. She wields a kusarigama (sickle and chain) with flair, spinning and dancing with it like a ribbon. She also uses shuriken that often carry charms or paper bombs, and elegant war fans that double as wind-channeling weapons and dramatic flair tools. She uses weapons more as props in a magical performance than with textbook precision—but her chaos makes them unexpectedly effective.
Love Mastery and Indomitable Love: No one—absolutely no one—understands the art of hopeless romantic obsession better than Kinchou. She can analyze body language, ship people together, and predict romantic outcomes with spooky accuracy. Whether it’s matchmaking, reading vibes, or creating a dramatic confession scene out of nowhere, she’s a guru of love tropes. Her emotions power her spells, and her desire to find "the one" can push her past her limits in battle if love is on the line. She’s not tactically brilliant—but emotionally? She’s a force of nature.
Weaknesses
She's an idiot.
Despite being a ninja, she’s comically loud. Trips over her own feet, hums theme music, and talks to herself mid-sneak. Her magic handles all her actual stealth for her—without it, she’d be heard two rooftops away.
She’s agile, yes, but her coordination is chaotic. She often messes up her own combos or gets tangled in her chain weapon.
When she spots someone that fits her “type”, she gets flustered, distracted, or overperforms to impress. It leads to avoidable mistakes.
She’s stubbornly anti-discipline and refuses to do actual training.
Weapons & Paraphernalia
Kaze-no-Hana
Description: Kinchou’s beloved kusarigama is crafted from enchanted cherrywood and bound with a flexible, silver-blue chain said to be forged from wind-forged steel. The sickle blade whistles when swung, literally channeling wind currents to slash beyond its physical reach. The chain moves unnaturally fast and can wrap, bind, or deflect spells with ease. She often spins it wildly, forming mini wind vortexes that double as defense or create momentum for high-flying attacks. It's her dance partner in battle, chaotic but surprisingly graceful in motion.
Sakurai Shikomi
Description: These shuriken are folded in unique sakura-shaped patterns and infused with explosive air spells. When thrown, they don’t just pierce—they spin with wind energy and release a small burst of concussive force or cause distractions with sound/light bursts. She often attaches miniature Ofuda to them, letting them briefly summon illusions or charming distractions like false lovers or sparkly petal clouds. They’re not always lethal—but they are confusing and spectacular.
Sensu-no-Himei
Description: Kinchou’s twin war fans are black with cyan lacquered ribs, carved with swirling wind sigils. When opened and swung, they unleash cutting gusts that slice through magical barriers or deflect incoming spells. They can also be used to parry physical blows or blind enemies with sudden bursts of light and petal-infused wind. Their name comes from the eerie sound they make—a sharp, almost human-like wail when swung forcefully, unnerving her foes. Stylish, deadly, and perfect for dramatic poses.
Quotes
"If love were a battlefield... I’d still trip and fall face-first into your heart~
My stealth level? Emotionally undetectable. Physically? …Oops, I knocked over that vase."
"They said I couldn’t be a ninja and a knight. So I became both. And cuter than all of them combined. Now! I will show you how a girl from Earth does!!"

"I can’t date someone who’s just nice! Where’s the passion? The backstory? The angst?! Morvainne-sama is like a forbidden book. I wanna read all her pages... but I’ll get burned if I try. Hehe, I will still do it."
Trivia
She is based on Mai Shiranui (Fatal Fury) and Mitsuri Kanroji (Demon Slayer).
Her new name, "Kinchou", means Golden Bird. She choose that name because she "likes birbs and golden stuff".
Kinchou lives off of romance books and drama scrolls. She quotes romantic lines in battle, during missions, and even while making traps.
Despite her cheery vibe, her powers (especially Cherry Blossom Zones and Ofuda constructs) are actually terrifyingly effective. She once accidentally caused a wind vortex that blew away an entire bandit camp... while trying to flirt.
She has a List of 101 First Date Ideas written in a small journal she keeps hidden in her bust.
She is pansexual, and the "love of her life" could be anyone; she doesn't really mind the sex/gender.
Her favorite food is strawberry mochi. She says it’s “the dessert of love.”
She can seduce or fluster almost anyone, but has never had a real date due to her constant romantic pickiness.
Her killing technique is oddly elegant—sometimes her targets fall with flower petals, perfume clouds, or glitter bombs, depending on how theatrical she’s feeling.
She loves matchmaking others even though she can’t find love herself. She's shipped at least 12 of Morvainne’s knights together.
Once tried to assassinate someone and ended up dating them for two weeks… Until she dumped them because they “weren’t emotionally repressed enough".
She gives enemies pep talks while fighting. “You're doing great, by the way! But also, I'm going to crush you now. 💕”
Kinchou named her Kusarigama “Mister Snippy”. She treats her weapons like pets and has backstories for each one. Don’t ask her to explain unless you have 2 hours.
She once wrote a romance novel based on herself... and Accidentally Published It. It became a cult hit among adventurers.
Kinchou holds the dubious honor of being the most rejected knight in all of the Fantasy Multiverse—not in battle, but in love. She’s confessed to over 47 individuals (including two dragons, a sentient spell-book, and Morvainne herself three times), each rejection meticulously logged in her "Journal of Almost-Loves". The entries include: Duke Valtheim (Day 12) – Said my ‘energy was too vibrant for his vampiric aesthetic’. Rude! But his brooding was chef’s kiss. 8/10, would pine again. "The Bandit Queen (Day 87) – Knife-play flirtation went great until she realized I was serious. Left me tied to a tree with a note: ‘Stay cute. Don’t die.’ …Was that a love letter?
Believes in “Cute Deaths” – she tries to make her assassination kills beautiful, peaceful, or poetic. Petals, songs, or kisses are sometimes involved. Her enemies are always confused.
Every explosive tag Kinchou throws is scribbled with romantic poetry or self-insert fanfic snippets. Allies who read them mid-battle report sudden confusion ("Why does this fireball scroll describe slow-burn enemies-to-lovers...?"). The more dramatic the line, the bigger the blast—her "And then their hands touched..." talisman once leveled a watchtower.
Kinchou loves dramatic entrances. Even when stealth is required. She’ll jump in, throw glitter Ofuda, and shout her name like a magical girl.
She has a "battle crush" on almost everyone. After fighting someone strong, she tends to blush and rate their romantic potential. It’s extremely distracting to her teammates.
Kinchou frequently breaks into Morvainne's library. She pretends she’s “guarding” it. In truth, she’s sneaking in to read forbidden romance fanfiction.
She named her Arcane Ascendance form “Operation: Love Ninja 3000”. Nobody else calls it that.
Her type is incredibly specific; Brooding, emotionally scarred, probably lost someone in the past, serious on the outside but soft inside (this one is optional, they may be outwardly kind while hiding their pain too), with long stares and rare, meaningful smiles.
She's super jealous of Morvainne's poise. She secretly practices “cool queen poses” alone at night to try to emulate her.
The only way to counter her nonsense combat is to act more dramatic. One clever mercenary faked a Shakespearean death soliloquy mid-duel—Kinchou was so moved she forfeited to applaud. Morvainne now keeps bards on retainer just in case.
She keeps track of every person she finds attractive in her notebook. It includes stats, outfits she imagines they'd wear, and potential ship names.
