The Story Continues...

The many members of the Rascality Lineage are at the front gate of their homestead, working on the stage for their Officialization Ceremony. After today, the world will recognize them as a real Métier Lineage. The Duo set up the chairs on the stage for the Family Heads to sit. Leful went to the podium and examined it before hearing chatter nearby.

Hinderable: "Mom!"

Perishable: "Settle down, child. I am trying to work on my speech."

Hinderable: "If you are not going to acknowledge my birthday in a week, at least hear me out and say that you should have more security since you are called 'Most Evil Person in Ingolaindo.' People don't like you, and many others want you dead. Some might be plotting against you as we speak."

Hinderable looked at the stage, seeing Leful fiddling with the podium.

Perishable: "Don't be silly. It doesn't matter what people think of me. I am providing our society a service. Not only are the 'Evil' Chosen Métier being gathered up by the day, but soon, we will be a sanctuary for criminals and ex-cons who cannot make a living in this unfair world."

Hinderable: "This lineage of yours must be a front for something bigger. Is it?"

Perishable: "Oh, my sweet child, once you become a Modder and sign the contract, I will be happy to reveal my plans to you. For you are my true heir and maybe even my successor. So, you better choose what you want soon, or I will throw you out for your hesitance."

The Mockery Modder, now wearing a dark brown blouse with purple trims and a matching mini-skirt, ran up to Perishable with papers.

Perishable: "Ah. My speech paper. Thank you, my dear fosterling.

Hinderable: "Foster...You adopted a madman's experiment."

Perishable: "But of course, this poor young lady has great potential and needs a strong hand to mold into a great force."

Hinderable: "You care more for a stranger than your own flesh and blood."

Fosterling glowed bronze and morphed into a cartoonish version of Hinderable.

Fosterling: "Yoouu care moorrre forrr a straaanger than yourr ooown flesssh and bloood."

Hinderable: "Errr!"

Perishable: "Hmmmhmmhmm! That is very good, my new daughter. Come along. I need someone to listen to my speech.

Perishable walked off, practicing her speech, with Fosterling behind her. Hinderable was very angry at her mother's arrogance, while Leful walked over to ask something.

Leful: "Hey, can you assist me with something?"

Hinderable: "What? No. Go away!"

Hinderable stormed off. Leful frowned.

Ireful: "Come on, Le! We need to help with the bleachers."

Leful: "Right. But can we arrange them slightly differently?

2 Hours Later...

Various people and government officials sat in folding chairs, while one bleacher full of Rascality members occupied both the left and right sides of the stage to witness this historic day. Many cameras from Ingolaindo News pointed at Pious standing at the podium, with the family heads of other lineages, including Cometious, Faultful, and Masterful, sitting behind them.

Pious: "...and I assure you all. With this new Métier Lineage, we are another step closer to keeping people safe for everyone. Without further ado, Lady Perishable, Family Head of The Rascality Lineage."

A few people clapped as Perishable walked to the podium.

Perishable: "Thank you, Sir Pious. Greetings, everyone. Most of you know me by many names. 'The Boss Demoness', 'The Métier Modder of True Evil', and formerly the 'Most Wanted Person in the World.' But today, I have been given a sacred duty. Before you all are my child, my new family..."

Ireful (to Leful on the left side bleacher): "Geez, I hated it when she called us her children. I think the Bribery Modder below us is older than her."

Leful: "Hehe. In the end, it is better to be Perishable's kid than her next victim."

Ireful: "True."

Someone was watching Perishable's speech in some trees a few yards away. They were a man with slick-back brown hair and a metallic mask over his mouth that looked like a big smile. He just finished setting up a specially designed rifle. The masked man aimed and got Perishable in his crosshairs. He glowed bronze as he pulled the trigger. The masked man fired, and a bullet filled with a mysterious green compound flew directly toward Perishable.

Perishable: "With our new home, we can invite cri..."

The ammunition was about to land before a wall of silver eyes manifested to halt the attack. Everyone gasped. The bullet, shining with a bronze hue, attempted to move around the trap, and its contents started vibrating and changed orange.

Leful: "Oh no!"

Leful began to glow a fierce silvery color. The eyes merged into an X-shaped ocular entity with such a frightful visage that the bullet retreated far enough from everyone before it exploded. Leful deactivated his Defense Mode.

Leful: "The bullet came from over there, Ireful!"

Ireful: "I saw it, too. On it!"

Ireful glowed golden, then a second burst of power sprang forth, and he jumped in the direction of the shot. He rocketed fast enough to reach the sniper before the attacker could get a chance to jump out of the tree. Ireful tackled him into another tree. This was enough to take the assault down. The crowd quickly ran over to see what had happened.

Person #1: "That mask? That's Ringful, the infamous Métier Modder of Assassination!"

Person #2: "They say it will seek out its target relentlessly once he fires a shot."

A woman in a silvery white shirt and black skirt, carrying a microphone, walked past some of the crowd with a cameraman.

Microphone Woman: "This is Xeroxable of Ingolaindo News. Assassination Attempt Averted! This young man caught the famous assassin from the newly officialized Rascality Lineage."

The people stepped aside before Perishable and Pious.

Perishable: "Sir Pious, allow me."

Perishable walked over to Ringful.

Perishable (Speaking softly to avoid being overheard): "Hello, Ringful. You are in quite in the middle of a Quantum Uncertainty. Your Chosen Métier fits into our lineage's theme, and I am not letting that power go. I don't care who hired you. I just want a straight answer. So, join us or die one day in your cell."

Ringful looked down at the contract and pen Perishable presented to him. He looked up to her and saw a smile, pure diabolical delight as if she were about to receive a tasty treat. Ringful did not want to join her family. He pulled out a handgun and went out on his own terms as a professional assailant with "Pow!"

Xeroxable: "Oh my! Ringful has took his own life! This is..."

Perishable seemed a bit disappointed. She could have used an assassin for what she had planned, but she could always find someone more accommodating. She dipped her contract into the pool of blood and gray matter, and the parchment glowed.

Perishable (Turning around toward the camera): "People of Ingolaindo, the Chosen Métier of Assassination, is now under my family's custody. You will never again feel the fear of a super-powerful assassin stalking you at night with the power to snuff you out easily. This is my Rascality Lineage's duty to you all."

The people ate that little speech up and cheered. Perishable let the officers remove Ringful's body and equipment as Hinderable walked over.

Hinderable: "Mom, are you okay? You were almost killed back there."

Perishable: "I am perfectly fine. All thanks to Leful and Ireful's efforts. This is why they were my first recruitment. Despite their reputation for being grunts, they are mostly successful when hired. And now, we have another Chosen Métier under my control."

Hinderable: "...Do you always have the contract with you at all times? Yo...You planned this."

Perishable: "Technically, no. But I strongly felt it would happen and hoped that someone would send the best hitman. My gamble paid off. One less big bad Modder alive and free, One power gained, and the Rascality name gets another gold star in the public's eye. Win-Win-Win."

Perishable walked over to the rest of the Family Heads to discuss what had happened. Leful was running past Hinderable.

Hinderable: "That was you...That trap?"

Leful (Turning around): "Yes, that was my Defense Mode-Bouncer Incorporation. I placed it when I was at the podium earlier. That was why I wanted your help. The people my partner and I bestow with the Gang Up Status make my trap stronger. I didn't know what kind of attack would hit Perishable, so I got as many people as possible. I even rearranged the bleachers to give the assassin fewer options for attack."

Hinderable: "...well...Thank you...for saving my mother...I think."

Leful nodded before getting to Ireful to praise him for his endeavor, while receiving some back for his trap.

Damaged Coda ACT2 enables the user to live several moments ahead of the present; everything can interact with the present user, as normal, while the future-bound user can freely do things in advance. The results of their future actions will instantly manifest later in time.

Obstructions in the present will not impede the future-bound user, as if they had already overcome, or avoided, those challenges.

Communication between present and future is possible through their respective ACT2s, who can relay information across the “time gap.”

However, Ping’s effect will not allow the present and future to resynchronize, permanently setting the user in dimensional duality.
