Damaged Coda ACT2 enables the user to live several moments ahead of the present; everything can interact with the present user, as normal, while the future-bound user can freely do things in advance. The results of their future actions will instantly manifest later in time.

Obstructions in the present will not impede the future-bound user, as if they had already overcome, or avoided, those challenges.

Communication between present and future is possible through their respective ACT2s, who can relay information across the “time gap.”

However, Ping’s effect will not allow the present and future to resynchronize, permanently setting the user in dimensional duality.

The M40A23 can produce ammo called 0 Caliber once per day; this cartridge holds a bullet made of bizarre, kinetic force that exponentially becomes faster after being fired. Virtually nothing can disturb a 0 Caliber’s course, and equally few can withstand its destructive power.

Basic Story: 10 years ago, Kaiju started showing up in and around Japan. As the military dealt with them, things rapidly escalated, and two major things happened. First, a giant wall was built around the coast to either stop or slow kaiju that came in from the sea. The second, is that a branch of the JSDF (Japan's military for those who don't know) was created and quickly gained enough funding from around the world to become its own organization that allies with the military. That organization is called the AMDF, short for the Anti Megafauna Defense Force. 3 years ago, a former Admiral that became a Human-Kaiju Hybrid (HKH or Kaiju Hybrid for short) initiated a plot that destroyed the AMDF base in Tokyo, as well as creating many more Kaiju Hybrids. After this Admiral was killed by one of her strongest and most favored Hybrids (that also happened to be working for the AMDF), reparations and advancements were made. However, the appearance of Kaiju is still a large threat, and in order to more effectively combat them while reducing the need to risk the lives of lower ranking AMDF members, mechs have become more popular among the AMDF, with the largest and most powerful being a mechanized version of the Kaiju form of the Hybrid who killed the Rogue Admiral. Thanks to the actions of an unknown group however, people have been disappearing consistently, especially Hybrids. What they intend to do and the impact they'll have on the AMDF and Japan at large is yet to be seen.

Details:

• The AMDF has different ideas to deal with kaiju, with their most notable being the enhancement of individual soldiers in one of 3 ways: Genetics (Super-Enhancement with possible animal-like abilities), Psionics (Psychic powers either forcefully given or artificially tapped into), and Tech (Power armor, sci-fi weapons, mecha.)

• Those 3 are split into divisions, with Genetics being the Frontline Division, Psionics being the Esper Division, and Tech being the Armored Division.

• Members of the divisions are ranked in power and skill from C (Lowest rank) to S (Highest rank). There is a higher rank (X Rank), and up to three people can occupy that rank, becoming known not only as an X Rank, but gaining the title of Admiral.

• It’s possible to simply be born with powers too, and any power (or powerset) that doesn’t quite fit into one of the 3 divisions is simply classified as Miscellaneous, and can be assigned to any division for a specific mission.

• Human-Kaiju Hybrids that join the AMDF are almost always put into the Frontline Division, due to the nature of their powers.

• The kaiju vary in size from slightly larger than the average person to skyscraper sized. Anything larger is forced to stay underwater, and is dealt with in other ways.

• The kaiju vary in intelligence and appearance too, from simply being larger, more monstrous animals to being gigantic threats with human-level intelligence. Because of this, kaiju are given their own rankings, simply titled Low, Mid, and High.

• No kaiju can look completely human, although they can be humanoid, and can (obviously) have varying abilities.

• Thanks to years being spent researching and fighting kaiju, new methods of detecting when and where they’ll show up are constantly being created and activated, such as large scale motion detectors, electromagnetic scanners, infrared cameras, etc.

• The J.S.D.F assists by evacuating civilians, assisting in the fight against kaiju, and helping the damage control process when everything’s over.

• Thanks to the events that took place 3 years ago, the A.M.D.F has created progressively more advanced modifications, weapons, and countermeasures for dealing with Kaiju, leading to enhanced potential among its members, more powerful and effective equipment/weaponry, and measures to more efficiently prevent the loss of life, as well as several tactics to avoid collateral damage. One of the newest inventions for assisting in evacuation are the Evac Ships, large, fast, and well armored airships created to rapidly evacuate large numbers of people.

• The A.M.D.F's Skyfort, a large aerial base equipped with the latest developments in armor, transportation, and weapons, is constantly travelling around the country, although it most consistently stays around large cities like Tokyo.

• Due to Tokyo being the area where the most kaiju attacks happen, the A.M.D.F has their main base there, along with being most active in and around Tokyo.

"This is [REDACTED], logging my third entry so far on the AMDF. So far, my investigation's only gotten me minor details. Things like how the enhancements to soldiers are made, what materials and weapons their mechs use, that kind of thing. Today however...I just found something huge. Not just some neat little extra info, but the kind of thing that'll change the world. People are gonna look at the AMDF differently once I share this. After all, it's not every day you find out an organization so dedicated to protecting people is equally dedicated to protecting its secrets. I managed to sneak in a device for a private meeting, and learned that there's another Division...it's smaller, so it might be better to call it a Sub-Division, and they're usually called the Midnight Division. Anyway, this Sub-Division does different work than the others. They don't fight kaiju, they don't help evacuate people, and they don't do the same heroic shit. No, these guys...they exist to keep secrets and do things the public isn't supposed to know about. Apparently they first came into existence after that Rogue Admiral incident went public. Their main purpose is to keep an eye on the soldiers and take out any that could become a problem. That's already concerning enough, but whenever someone the AMDF considers a potential threat shows up, these guys are the ones who deal with them without ever making a scene. From what I've heard, either they take the person in question and make them into a member or "asset" of the AMDF...or they make them disappear. Permanently. The fact that most of the people they target outside the AMDF are Hybrids only makes this more concerning. Anyways, I can't afford to risk being caught, so I'll be moving soon. My investigation's gonna continue however, just with a lot more caution. Hopefully I'll get enough info to release it to the public. I can already imagine the money I'll ma-"
