"It seems that existence needs my help then... is this dragon who is causing all of that? Well, never saw something like that before."

Enlightened Despot is an abstract/cosmic entity, embodiment of balance, known for being the hidden main protagonist of Cronikus, and the one who drives the entire plot related to the TGZ (and consequently all of the story).

Appearance

Despot is a muscular-looking humanoid being, having a head resembling a moose's skull (with two large horns), and black hair that extends to his neck.

He wears some clothes, the same being a brown cape that covers his left arm, he wears no shirt underneath, and on his right arm there is a leather bracelet. He has a brown belt with a purple gem in the middle, light gray pants, and big brown boots. He is commonly seen with a great and sinister scythe.

Personality

He is a completely neutral being, having a perfect moral balance, being indifferent to evil and good, and initially completely devoid of sensations and emotions. His sole purpose is to induce complete balance in all existence when needed.

However, after spending a great time being William's "prisoner", he developed a special care for him and the TGZ, helping them in some needs with his powers (but not something so great, like giving them almighty power; since what makes him interested on them is their mortal and creative nature).

Powers and Abilities

Cosmic Entity Physiology: Despot is a cosmic entity, possessing power on an unfathomable level, having vast virtually unlimited power, reality warping, and so on. Due to his nature, he is probably the most powerful cosmic entity.

• Balance Embodiment: He is the living embodiment of the concept of balance and stability, having vast powers that encompass both chaos and order. He, being the embodiment of balance, transcends dualities, and therefore morality too, being truly neutral, having his sole aim, to maintain true balance in the existence.

• Duality Transcendence: He transcends all forms of dualism systems and concepts, having a transduality above and beyond any binary concepts (like life and death, order and chaos, science and magic, etc), but this does not necessarily mean that he has control over them, only at a certain range.

• Balance Manipulation: Despot can manipulate the concepts of balance, a powerful concept that deals with the opposing forces and aspects that hold the cosmic order of things in place by light, dark and even the neutral side of things.

• Balance: As obvious, he is in balance with all forces of the existence itself and transcendent areas or locations and control to his will. Despot can control opposing forces at once like darkness and light, heaven and hell, existence and nothingness, creation and destruction, etc, despite to a lesser way to each of their respective embodiments.

• Ultipotence: Being a cosmic entity, and also the embodiment of balance, Despot possesses an unlimited raw and omnipotent power, being able to change anything in the multiverse, all existence and beyond effortlessly, just to bring it into balance; then, having unlimited abilities to manipulate matter, energy, space, time, reality, magic, science and the like with great skill and prowess. His power is beyond to the likes of the Wuiyans', and also above from the other Abstracts (due to being superior than binary concepts). A curious fact about this power, is that Despot, once a time, stated that all of his "seals" receives an infinitesimal fraction of his power, so this is the reason of William's Reality Warping.

• Nigh-Omniscience: Despot possesses an almost limitless knowledge of the entire multiverse and things, including hitherto undiscovered secrets, information about the structure and narrative of all reality, and much more. The reason of why his knowledge is almost limitless, is that he wishes to understand and experience chaos and order by himself, wishing to know how it works and all.

• Omnipresence: When released from his seal, his essence flows throughout existence, being present in every possible place, including conceptual and nonexistent places, future, past, present, and in all the existence as a whole.

• Conceptual Manipulation: He has full control over all concepts (be them binary or not), mainly used to help with cosmic balance.

• Plot Control: It's stated that his balance power is at multiversal levels. Well, not exactly. His balance powers work in a superior narrative level, he controls and fixes the instability in the entire narrative and other transcendental levels.

• Destiny Manipulation: Despot frequently controls the destiny of the TGZs, mainly William. He is the reason of why William met the others, is he that turned William into a superhuman, and many more. All of that in a multiversal and beyond scale, since he provides the same destiny from the Earth-1 William, to all his other alternate counterparts (despite with a slightly change).

• Omni-Physics/Pataphysics Manipulation: Despot can manipulate all the physics, including the Pataphysics: the ability to have control over the ineffable, the unknown and the unknowable, transcending metaphysical laws and boundaries. He also manipulates imaginary solutions, which symbolically attributes the properties of objects, described by their virtuality, to their lineaments. The concepts are so ethereal that it doesn't have an unequivocal definition that passes easily from one state of apparent definition to another. Beyond truth, reality, and everything, even things that exist beyond everything.

• And many more abilities coming from his virtually omnipotent power.

Weaknesses

• Because of his extremely powerful and complex nature, his existence always has to be "metaphysically sealed" into a being after everytime he uses his powers.

• So, because of that, it seems that he does not interfer into his seal's will to be freed. Not that he can't, but because he don't want.

Trivia

• He is currently sealed/imprisoned in William/Fromthetime, which he will only leave/awaken if he senses an instability in the existence and/or with the death of William.

• He is one of the 10 Abstract Entities, and is highly likely the most powerful among them (on account of transcending dualities, things that others rightly represent).

• Despot will be the one who will bring the end of the Cosmic Dragon, an entity of unknown origin, where it has a power superior to all beings on existence combined (but the Abstracts' True Forms and The Author), which not even the combined strength of the Wuiyans, TGZ, and all other beings could stop it.

• He is also, currently, the most powerful character in Cronikus, second only to The Author.

• Different of the other Abstracts, ED doesn't have avatars, manifestations and aspects, possessing only 1 form (2 if you count his sealed status).

• The reason why he has a skull moose's head, is because it represents solitariness, life, loyalty and energy (the moose part), but also the ignorance, death, rebellion and weakness (the skull part).
