This is debatably the final part of a long chain of posts connecting various scenarios involving people being born as super humans as different races here’s the link to the latest post for more information
Humanity was the edge of war with a race of luck altering animal people known as the shiftbloods. Things Had gotten so bad that power hungry occultists teamed with shady governments and Anti shiftblood groups began experimenting with their very origin to find a weapon against them and for world dominance. They had learned little but did manage to find out that the shift blood gene was originally spawned from magic and bio science. Upon utilizing the same type of magic the organization known as “the Hammer of Truth” (because pretentious villains) began kidnapping child prodigies didn’t matter who(from sports to musicians any type of talent considered to be prodigy like worthy by most). They began casting a crude variant of the combination that made their enemy on their victims focusing on combat and having known of the other attributes of the process. As a result of the spells being bare bones lacking any animal spirit or elemental flavor and such a heavy focus battle it simply gave the kids combat oriented abilities based of their talents.
This “race” was deemed the true evolution of humanity or the “greatbloods” and used as brainwashed super soldiers for the coming war with the Shiftbloods. For said shiftblood race this was the final straw they had previously United and floated the Idea of going away from humanity to truly develop before getting back to “fix humanity” using Gate magic. This sealed the deal to excommunicate from the humanity and but still return one day some already began leaving into the pocket dimension while others stayed to deal with Greatblood problem before leaving.
So you are…still a shiftblood but one who chose to stay behind and fight and now facing the bodyguard Greatblood of the Hammer of truth’s inner circle. Thier personality and story mirrors your own.
