Magic. The practice of harnessing the supernatural forces that make up existence to make your dreams a reality.

There are a total of six elements often associated with magic. The most well known being the classical four elements of: fire, air, earth, and water.

Not only do they make up the building blocks of our physical reality, they also represent certain aspects of our personality and even life such as desire, intelligence, growth, and emotion.

The Aether: also called quintessence, life-force, spirit; Aether is the source of light, life, order, and creation. This is the element binds the four elements together yet keeps them separate just enough so that they don't entirely merge all together.

It also serves as the component to form the barriers that separate other realities from each other.

Aether is the primary ingredient to create the spiritual essence/ soul of a being. Though it should be worth mentioning that souls themselves vary in how much aether they contain, this is used as a means of measuring just how powerful an individual's magic can be.

Lastly, ectoplasm (the spiritual matter that makes up the body of a ghost) is actually a diluted form of aether.

The Nether: the antithesis to Aether. Nether is the source of darkness, death, chaos, and destruction acting as its counterbalance. This forgotten element extremely volatile in nature making it exceptionally difficult to control.

Like its counterpart, nether is used to create souls but ones made from it are demonic in nature

The true form of a demonic spirit sometime appears as three-dimensional shadows with empty white eyes, though the appearance varies per demon.
