Appearance
Yasmin has striking dark skin, a golden undertone that glows under sunlight, and a physique built like a warrior—broad shoulders, strong arms, and lean muscle. Her long yellow-blonde hair is always tied up in a high, windswept ponytail, and her sharp amber eyes hold an unnatural fire. A small scar crosses her left cheek, and an ancient divine tattoo spirals down her right arm, glowing faintly when she's angry.
Her casual outfit is functional but fashionable—white blouse with golden embroidery, long sleeves rolled at the elbows, a golden necklace shaped like a lion's fang, and tight black denim shorts that leave her midriff exposed. In battle, she transforms into Bastira, donning a lightweight golden armor styled in ancient Egyptian design—elegant, minimal, and built for speed and agility.
Personality
Yasmin is a contradiction wrapped in calm. Outwardly, she’s a collected, reserved individual who seems more content observing than acting. She doesn’t like unnecessary attention, avoids showing off her powers, and only intervenes when she has to. This often causes people to underestimate her or assume she’s indifferent—but nothing could be further from the truth.
She is extremely empathetic. Despite the quiet demeanor, Yasmin deeply cares about people. She pays attention to small details—how someone walks, talks, or changes tone. She's not the loud protector, but the watchful one—always ready to step in if someone is in danger or injustice is unfolding. She believes protection doesn’t need to be flashy—it just needs to be present. However, she dislikes reliance and is kinda stubborn, specially when others tries to help her in anything.
But beneath that calm exterior lies an explosive truth: Yasmin is the daughter of Sekhmet, goddess of war and destruction. That bloodline carries a divine wrath that, when awakened, becomes a terrifying force of nature. Her anger is never impulsive—it’s triggered by profound betrayal, cruelty, or injustice—and when it comes, it’s quiet, cold, and surgical. She doesn’t shout—she acts. It’s this dangerous potential that made her choose to restrain herself from engaging fully with the world. As a warrior demi-goddess, she is proud of her skills and doesn't accept any further training (stating that she is already the apex of combat).
Despite all this, Yasmin wants to be human more than anything else. She finds peace in simple pleasures: stargazing, listening to stories, laughing over food with strangers. She wants to live on Earth as a person, not as a weapon. Her journey isn’t about revenge or legacy—it’s about balance. A demigoddess who would rather cry for peace than fight for glory, even if her fists are capable of ending armies.
Powers and Abilities
Demigod Physiology: As the daughter of Sekhmet, Yasmin possesses divine-level physiology that elevates her above mortals in nearly every way. Her body is naturally attuned to channel divine energy—granting her exceptional strength, endurance, and spiritual power. Her divine nature not only protects her from aging and mortal limitations, but also makes her highly resistant to magic, poisons, disease, and fatigue. While she suppresses her full potential to live among humans, her true capabilities are far beyond what she allows others to see.
Superhuman Strength: Yasmin’s strength goes far beyond human limits. She can lift vehicles, punch through reinforced steel, and crush solid rock with her bare hands without effort. What’s terrifying is how casual her power appears—her most devastating strikes don’t look flashy, but they’re packed with focused divine might. She restrains herself constantly, knowing that a moment of unfiltered emotion could break bones or level structures. In battle, when fully embracing her Bastira form, her strength scales up to near-godlike levels, enough to clash with divine beings and overpower monsters many times her size. She is strong enough to keep up with Ellen, the solar superhero from the WSL.
Superhuman Speed: Despite her tall, muscular build, Yasmin can move with incredible speed, vanishing and reappearing like a blur. Whether in combat or travel, she covers ground at extremely fast paces, capable of dodging gunfire or reaching opponents before they realize they’ve been hit. Her speed isn't just about running—it's in her reaction time, her battlefield movement, and how quickly she can adapt mid-fight. She’s even been seen intercepting magical projectiles and catching arrows mid-flight with calm precision. She was fast enough to match Ellen through a misunderstanding battle between them.
Superhuman Reflexes: Her reflexes are razor-sharp, honed by divine awareness and warrior training. Yasmin can perceive and react to attacks from multiple directions simultaneously. In a fight, it seems like she’s always one step ahead—sidestepping blades, catching punches, and parrying blows effortlessly.
Invulnerability: Yasmin's body is resistant to most forms of damage. Bullets bounce, blades break, and fire barely singes her skin. She can survive falls from skyscraper heights, withstand magical blasts, and endure physical trauma that would kill most beings instantly. This resistance doesn't mean she's unkillable—strong enough divine or magical attacks can hurt her—but it means she rarely needs armor. Even in her human form, her skin is tough as tempered bronze, and in her Bastira form, her resilience multiplies drastically. She is self-sustainable and doesn't need anything to keep living.
Superhuman Agility: Her balance, coordination, and fluidity of motion are almost feline. She can leap across rooftops, dodge in tight spaces, and maneuver around enemies with ease. Her agility is enhanced by divine muscle control and her warrior training, making her a graceful, unpredictable opponent.
Superhuman Stamina: Whether it's a drawn-out battle against multiple enemies or walking for days through a harsh desert, her body doesn't tire like a mortal’s. Her divine heritage fuels her endurance, and she often outlasts enemies who think she’ll eventually slow down.
Regenerative Healing Factor and Immortality: Yasmin does not age like humans do. While she appears 27, her body is stuck in that prime state, immune to aging’s effects. Any wounds heal within seconds, and major injuries—like brain/heart damage or decapitation—close quickly through divine regeneration. Even when impaled or severely injured, her body can pull itself together unless destroyed entirely. In case her body is completely destroyed, she can resurrect eventually.
Enhanced Senses and Extrasensory Perception: Her senses are far beyond human. She can see in total darkness, hear whispers across rooms, and smell the faintest scents in the air. More impressively, she has extrasensory abilities—she can sense divine presences, spiritual energy, emotions, and the intentions of others to a degree. When she focuses, she can track beings through aura signatures or detect deception. Her senses are especially sharp during moments of tension or threat, turning her into a living radar on the battlefield.
Solar Divinity and Manipulation: As the daughter of Sekhmet/Hathor, Yasmin’s divine essence is tied to the sun. She draws power from sunlight, her strength increasing during the day or in the presence of solar heat. At her peak, her aura becomes warm and radiant, with golden fire trailing behind her movements. This solar affinity also grants her immunity to cold-based attacks and empowers her fire-related abilities. When she channels her true nature, she can emit blinding solar flares and bursts of scorching divine light that can sear spirits and purify corrupted entities. However, since Sekhmet and Hathor are "the same goddess", Yasmin also has some minor love/lust-related abilities (but since she was birthed while her mother was in the Sekhmet persona, they're most latent).
Fire Manipulation: Yasmin wields fire with the same ease others swing a blade. Her flames are not ordinary—they are divine, golden, and fueled by her heritage. She can conjure searing flames from her hands, feet, or breath, using them in offense or defense. Her fire burns hotter depending on her emotional state: the calmer she is, the more precise and focused the flames become; the angrier, the more chaotic and explosive. These flames can burn through any metals, and against magical or spiritual enemies, they purify and destroy corruption outright.
Fire Constructs: Beyond raw fire, Yasmin can shape her flames into constructs—shields, weapons, restraints, even wings made of roaring gold fire. She’s most known for forming a burning spear or dual flaming gauntlets, depending on the intensity of the battle. These constructs are semi-solid and maintain form as long as she wills them. She can also summon lion-headed fire spirits for intimidation or support. In her full Bastira state, her fire constructs grow more elaborate and mythic in scale.
Transformation: She has access to multiple partial and full transformations tied to her divine beast heritage, a lion's. At will, she can grow feline traits—lion ears, tail, claws, fangs—or shift into a full humanoid lioness form, tall, radiant, and terrifyingly strong. In this form, her senses sharpen further, and her strength and durability increase exponentially. In moments of desperation, orfury, she can even fully transform into a massive lioness surrounded by golden flame and battle aura—a vision that only few have survived seeing.
War Divinity: War is in her blood. Yasmin inherits her mother’s divine domain over combat, making her a goddess of battle in the making. When she steps into a battlefield, she instinctively understands formations, weaknesses, momentum, and strategy like she’s rehearsed it a thousand times. Her presence inspires fear or courage depending on who she stands beside. She can tap into a kind of divine battle trance, reacting on pure instinct and fighting with unnatural precision. She’s a living weapon when focused—and a force of destruction when enraged.
Berserker Form: Yasmin’s most feared ability is her divine berserker state, often referred to as “The Flame of Bastira”. As she takes damage or becomes emotionally compromised, her body begins to glow with sacred fire, and her strikes grow faster and more devastating. Instead of bleeding, golden fire seeps from her wounds, fueling her strength. If she fully gives in to her rage, her form shifts: her eyes blaze, her muscles tense, and her aura becomes overwhelming. In this form, her power multiplies—but she loses much of her restraint, making her dangerous even to allies. She avoids this state unless absolutely necessary.
Rage and War Manipulation: Her divine blood allows her to manipulate the emotional and physical fields of conflict. She can invoke a subtle aura that fuels anger, courage, or even fear, depending on what she wills. In battle, this manifests as increased aggression in enemies—causing them to make rash mistakes—or bolstered morale in allies. She can “tune” this aura, either amplifying the chaos of war or suppressing it to calm a crowd. Her manipulation doesn’t just affect mortals; even spirits and lower deities can feel their emotions shift in her presence.
Judgment Eyes (Eyes of Sekhmet): By channeling the power of her divine bloodline, Yasmin can activate the Eye of Sekhmet—a terrifying divine gaze that allows her to peer directly into the soul of her target. This ability reveals guilt, lies, regrets, and moral corruption like a glowing aura around a person. If focused, she can paralyze her target, inflict psychological pressure, or cause burns through heat-based eye contact. Against deeply corrupted beings, she can judge them unworthy and, with a final gaze, incinerate their spiritual essence on the spot.
Abilities
Gifted Intellect: Despite her warrior nature, Yasmin is an incredibly intelligent and analytical person. She has an encyclopedic knowledge of both ancient and modern history, languages, and cultures. She processes information quickly and can draw connections between ideas most wouldn’t catch. Whether in battle or during an academic discussion, she remains thoughtful and perceptive. She’s also a deeply logical thinker, the type to observe quietly for long stretches before making a move. When she speaks, it’s usually something worth listening to. And also, with the latent Hathor-side of Sekmeth, Yasmin also has some sexual/love knowledge.
History Mastery: In her human life, Yasmin works as a professional historian and researcher, specializing in ancient civilizations—particularly Egypt and North Africa. Her knowledge is both academic and lived. She doesn’t just study history—she remembers it. This makes her an invaluable source of knowledge, even among gods and scholars. She publishes under pseudonyms, teaches occasional lectures, and even helps preserve archaeological sites.
Survival and Hunting Mastery: Born of both desert blood and divine nature, Yasmin is a master of survival. Whether in the scorching heat of Egypt’s deserts or a dense urban sprawl, she can navigate, forage, and adapt. She can track animals or people, find clean water, build shelter, and treat wounds—all with remarkable calm. Her combat medic knowledge lets her handle injuries in the field with limited resources. She once survived several weeks alone in the Sinai wilderness without food or aid, which she modestly refers to as a “quiet break".
Tactical Genius: During the reign of Thutmose III, Yasmin served as a general and war tactician in multiple secret divine campaigns—both historical and mythic. Her strategic mind is sharp, making her a natural battlefield commander. She’s skilled at deception, baiting, countermeasures, and swift executions. While she doesn’t seek battle in modern times, her tactical insight remains unmatched. She’s the type to observe a battlefield for a moment and then dismantle the enemy formation in a single motion.
Master Combatant: Yasmin is an elite warrior in every sense of the word. Her calm demeanor hides a lifetime of intense combat experience—both from her modern vigilante life and her divine past as a general and warrior. She’s capable of going toe-to-toe with enhanced beings and monsters alike, relying on expert footwork, precision, and deadly efficiency. She doesn’t waste movement, doesn’t show off, and doesn’t hesitate. She’s not just trained—she’s instinctive. Every motion has purpose, and even when outnumbered, she fights with the ease of someone who’s done this for centuries.
Weapon Proficiency: While capable of using nearly any weapon, Yasmin has a special affinity for ancient Egyptian weaponry—especially the khopesh, which she wields with a brutal and elegant grace. Spears are her main battlefield weapon: versatile, fast, and perfect for long-range combat. Her fighting style balances brutal direct strikes with clever redirections and feints, showing off her experience from eras where every weapon stroke could decide a war.Archery Mastery: Yasmin doesn’t just shoot arrows—she channels her divine energy through them. Her arrows can explode with solar force, blaze mid-air, or pierce magical defenses. She can curve her shots unnaturally, hit multiple enemies at once, or even use divine arrows that reveal a target’s sins upon impact. She can hit targets from impossible distances, through barriers, and even predict a target’s movement before they make it.
Weaknesses
Yasmin’s biggest weakness is herself—specifically her wrath. Once her fury is fully unleashed, she can become unstable and destructive, potentially harming allies or innocent bystanders. She avoids triggering this at all costs.
Her "Hathor side" is mostly latent, since her mother birthed her while she was in Sekhmet persona. As such, her love powers are mostly latent.
Prolonged use of her divine powers or staying too long in her berserker or lioness form puts an extreme strain on her body and mind, especially if she’s suppressing her emotions.
Because she actively avoids going all out, she rarely fights at full capacity unless it’s absolutely necessary. Her own moral restraint limits her maximum output.
She is way more susceptible to alcohol than a normal person. This is because of her mother and a certain story of hers.
Weapons & Paraphernalia
Ra’Kheperet
Description: Her divine spear and main weapon, forged from enchanted orichalcum and blessed by the solar gods themselves. Its shaft is black and gold, etched with hieroglyphs that glow when channeling solar energy. It can absorb and redirect solar rays, burst into divine fire, and extend in length mid-strike. The blade cuts through magic, armor, and even illusions. When fully charged, she can unleash “Solar Wrath”, a spear-throw that ignites the sky in golden flame. “Kheperet” refers to transformation—symbolizing how the spear reflects both her peaceful and warlike nature.
Neter-Sekhem
Description: A golden ceremonial lion mask once worn by Sekhmet herself. When donned by Yasmin, it enhances her physical traits and unlocks her lioness transformation. It heightens her instincts, grants enhanced battlefield awareness, and emits a protective aura that burns away corruption. In berserk state, the mask can manifest a lioness-shaped aura that roars with divine flame.
Shahetet
Description: A curved golden bow crafted from sacred desert wood and divine gold. Its arrows are summoned from solar energy and can burn, explode, or split mid-flight. Yasmin uses this in ranged warfare or to silently eliminate threats. One special arrow, the “Searing Feather”, is said to never miss and strikes with the heat of the midday sun.
Zefhi-Khopesh
Description: A sleek khopesh inherited from a fallen ally in the divine wars. Yasmin keeps this blade out of sentiment, using it rarely but with great emotional weight. It’s a reminder of both her past victories and her regrets. The blade can cut through spiritual entities and resonates with divine beings.
Quotes
"... c-catnip?! You wicked human...!!"
"... have you ever felt that you want to be something, but your nature screams to not be? That's what I am. I don't want to be a goddess. I want to be a human.
"You don’t have to roar to be dangerous. Silence carries weight too."
"Glory fades. But peace? Peace is eternal."
"You want war? Fine. But don’t ask me to enjoy it."
"People see fire and they assume it burns without thinking. They think fury is wild, aimless. But they’ve never felt what I feel. They’ve never held a rage so ancient it predates memory… a fury that screams through blood and bone, one inherited, not chosen. My mother is the goddess of war. Her wrath shattered armies. Her laughter meant the end of cities. And I—was made from that fire. But I’ve learned something mother never did. I can hold the fire and not let it consume me. I walk among humans not because I must, but because I want to. I read history not to remember the past, but to understand it. I protect not to conquer, but to preserve. That is my choice. I won’t be her shadow. I won’t be just another weapon. I am Yasmin Tawfiq. And if I raise my spear—may the gods themselves ask why."
