Imbued Godhood

You are placed into a world of infinite possibilities where superpowers exist, in this world you can become a god in almost any way imaginable but there will have to be a large sacrifice along the way to make it interesting.

So how would you become a god?

P.s the power you gain don’t matter, it’s only the way you get them.

Hmm I'm curious how deification works in the god of war universe. If a mortal who was from Africa for example lived in Greece and the gods for some reason gave him a role among their pantheon and deified him either via ambrosia or with their own divine powers. Does this make the mortal man from Africa a Greek god and what determine his uniqueness(powers and domain) in god of war universe? Now the same question but with a modern spin to it. Say that you are mixed of different ethnicities because of colonization and you happen to stumble across ambroisa or whatever on the picture below

buried into the ground and the scent was so good that you felt compelled to eat it so you did. What kind of god do you become and will you become a Greek god or a god of the land you live on regardless of how you were deified?
