Others whisper that the humans, in their arrogance, pushed too far—destroying the balance of nature until the creatures could no longer stand idly by. Theories abound, but none can say for certain. What is known is that those who once ruled are no longer here. The age of humans has ended, and those who remain are now the inheritors of this world’s future.

In place of humanity’s legacy, magic has risen, and it is the last thread binding the world together. But magic itself is a mystery, a force that few fully understand, and some dare not question. It is the very lifeblood of this new world—used by its inhabitants to build, protect, and, sometimes, destroy. The questions that linger about the fall of humanity remain unanswered, but the sentient creatures that roam the earth may hold the key to it all. The truth lies within them... but who will dare ask?
