Otakemaru is an infamous and extremely powerful oni. He is one of the Three Great Evil Youkai of Japan, and a calamity bringer. Also one of the most dangerous enemies to the organization DEMON.

Otakemaru has a deceptively unimposing stature, standing shorter than most. He has an athletic, lean physique with signature oni features that make his demonic nature unmistakable: two sharp, curved horns along his short and messy black hair, and piercing yellow eyes. His face is almost always lit with a sly, eternal smirk, and his sharp, shark-like teeth.
For attire, Otakemaru wears a black, robe-like kimono that reveals his toned chest and hints at his casual disregard for formality, and a black jacket over it with a white fur-trim. True to his disregard for human customs, he walks barefoot, feeling the earth beneath his feet and radiating an air of untouchable arrogance.
Personality
Otakemaru possesses an intense charisma and an outwardly playful demeanor that makes him unnervingly likable at first glance. He enjoys making others laugh, spinning tales, and delivering snarky remarks with a devilish charm that has lured countless humans to his side. However, behind this jovial mask is a deeply sadistic and apathetic soul who treats life and death with little regard, viewing humans as mere playthings or prey. His enjoyment of violence is not born of anger but of hedonistic pleasure, and his apathetic attitude makes him just as willing to harm as to help—whichever seems most entertaining in the moment. In general, he doesn't do anything out of hate or anything, just pure amusement.
One of Otakemaru’s more twisted traits is his envy and possessiveness, especially toward human women, whom he finds both fascinating and easy to control. He boasts about his “marriages” to many women, although each left him upon learning of his true nature. This bewilderment reveals a strange, almost childlike inability to understand why his actions drive others away. He seems to genuinely believe that, despite his evil nature, people should accept him as he is, underscoring his lack of empathy.
While Otakemaru acknowledges his capacity for malevolence, he rationalizes it as a product of his “cursed nature", and seems both resigned and comfortable with it. He dismisses the notion of becoming more benevolent, claiming such a change would disgust him. In other words, he is aware that he is someone "unpleasant", but cannot do anything about it. This fatalistic attitude allows him to embrace his identity fully as a bringer of calamity, using his powers without guilt or hesitation.
At his core, Otakemaru is a deeply hedonistic and selfish being, reveling in pleasures of the flesh (to the point his favorite hobby is having sex) and viewing others as mere instruments for his entertainment. He sees no problem with his cruelty as long as it amuses him, and his cult-like influence over his followers only amplifies this. Out of sheer boredom, he created a cult that worships him as a god, demanding sacrifices on a whim.

He claims to be the strongest oni of all, and by his own estimation, he alone is worthy of the title "Demon King", a designation he has contemptuously allowed others, such as Shuten-douji, to borrow. His oni nature amplifies his aura of intimidation and charisma, allowing him to bend weaker spirits and humans to his will effortlessly.
Superhuman Strength: With strength comparable to that of Kogetsu, an okuchi no makami known as a powerful youkai, Otakemaru’s raw power is monstrous. He can split mountains with his blows, uproot trees with a flick of his wrist, and destroy fortifications with little effort. His brutal force, combined with his technique, makes him almost unstoppable in close combat, often overwhelming opponents with sheer power. His strength is considered so immense, that he can crush entire pocket dimensions by his hands alone; as demonstrated that with a flick of finger, he destroyed Dae-Seong's entire Lucky Zone.
