Came up with 15-25 ideas that would made the character quite eccentric/quirky/weird:

I'm writing an urban fantasy action comedy about the Unusuals, a team of teen paranormal investigators who go solve strange mysteries in their small town of Harmony Grove
My problem is I know little, but not a lot about paranormal investigators or the supernatural, and the only thing I know that's related to that genre is John Constantine, and that's it
My question is about the occupation:
1. Do you or do you not need to be human or a hybrid of something in order to be a paranormal investigator
2. Do you or do you not need to have some sort of paranormal encounter to be into the supernatural
3. Do you or do you not need some form of combat skill to fight the supernatural?
4. Do paranormal investigators get paid for their work?
5. What counts as supernatural, like are aliens excluded from the equation, or is it just demons and monsters from another dimension?
I've finally came up with a good concept for two separate ideas that I'm working on
The Unusuals are a group of paranormal investigators helping an inventor get his body back after it was stolen, and he was put inside of a robot with a TV head
The Bravo Crew (B-Crew) are a band of teenage/young adult bounty hunters with superpowers who're havin' fun while dishin' out justice to criminals, both normal and abnormal
What do you think, do you agree?
Why Martin Mystery is always obsessed with girls?
Why Martin Mystery sometimes ended up being the one that get saved by his friends and step sister in some episodes even though he is the hero in the TV series?
Why Martin Mystery is so in love with paranormal stuff and anything gross?
Why Martin Mystery is always so mean to Diana and never take her seriously?
Why Martin Mystery is so dumb when it comes to school work?
