Psychic Shield

You read the question so...which powers would you choose and what would you use them for in your life?

Here's my 10 picks:

1) Superhuman Condition> Defend myself from mundane threats such as muggers and also protect the innocent from evil...by any means necessary. Plus it helps me with doing physical jobs.

2) Teleportation> Definitely go from one place to another in an instant, especially if they're far.

3) Duplication> Get multiple tasks done in a short amount of time such as homework, decorating the house and working multiple jobs.

4) Calm State> I would use it to help clear the intrusive thoughts that dare plague my mind and make me anxious. With this, I will remain calm regardless of what happens. Ideal for tons of situations.

5) Pain Suppression> Actually ignore the pain when going out to exercise.

6) Supernatural Regeneration> Actually heal from pesky wounds without having to worry about any lasting crippling injuries. I could even drink as much soda as I like!

7) Artistic Intuition> Become a better artist than I already am at a quicker rate. Not instant, but faster like a couple of months maybe. This could help me make a living with art while telling fun and entertaining stories.

8) Danger Detection> Pretty much know when something or someone tries to harm me in one way or another. Their punishment will be severe.

9) Psychic Shield> Keep my own thoughts safe and sound from anybody who tries to read my mind. My secrets are my own and I would hurt whoever tries reading it.

10) Reactive Adaptation> I would use this as a LAST RESORT should any and all of my other powers fail to defend me from certain threats like...perhaps the planet blowing up.

Humanity. How would I describe them. Having seen wars and battles, the killing of my comrades on the field of space. HM (High-Mass) rounds punching through hulls, vacating the inhabitants into the very field they fight upon. Generals employing the tactics of glassing worlds, or using psionic cleansing to clear the world of Sentients. Still, that pales in comparison to the sheer sickening threat humanity holds. They have us at Gunpoint, and they do not even realize it.

It started when we first received a scrambled radio pulse for a couple of seconds. All we could ascertain about the pulse was that it was of Manufactured origin. The High Conclave quickly decided to send out an “Observers None Interaction” act, declaring the World to be off limits, that is until they have complete control of their Planet, and their Moon. This is to first help any sentient species get use to the idea of space travel, and to make sure that the species did not think of us as Gods. While it made the joining of the Galactic community Slow, the System was protected from events that may impede the advancements of the species. As the galactic community observed the System, dubbed Sol by the Humans themselves, the employed Psions, the ones working for the high conclave, were told to search through the minds of the world, and learn there recent History. As it turns out, the world had just experienced another world wide war… another? This was not usual, and seemed to be common place within most sentient species within the galaxy, but it was rare to have two. Things seemingly calmed down, that is until Tribes started to fight again, and Nuclear Testing was being done. Many of the Representatives apart of the High Conclave thought that the Humans, as we figured that’s what they were named, would blow themselves to kingdom-come, and they almost did, but not one had been launched, even under threats of war. It was during one of these wars that Humanity achieved space flight, and then, shortly after, managed to Land on the moon. This new Species was advancing incredibly rapidly, giving it the title of the youngest discovered Sentients to achieve space flight. This paired with the fact that there planet was on the heavier side of what was thought possible for a species to become space faring. This did make there Stature Quite short, but there strength, abnormal for there size. While they were not the shortest of all Sentients, they were below the average. Despite this, like many in our Galactic Community, they, as a species, had very little natural weapons and defenses, making them quite susceptible to damage upon there posterior against attacks from other native species on there planet, witch at times were much larger and much more dangerous than a lone human, yet, despite everything seemingly being stacked against them, Humans seemed to lack the ability to… whats the phrase? Oh, “Give Up”. Every sentient, until the humans knew there limit, and knew that when they reached it, that they could go no longer, and thus, if they faced an obstacle that matched or surpassed them in there ability, they would often times just go home, or let whatever was to happen, happen. This also reduced a rare and dangerous trait among the species, a trait named by Humans as Stress, witch seemingly cause paranoia, panic, and other such reactions within the humans, along with early death. Humans, though, ignored all of that, and when pushed to there limit, something seemed to break inside of them, allowing for the Human to go further, and further, and further. It was extordinary, and frightening. Many of the Conclave Members were afraid that they may wage war against the Galaxy, and if given the technology and the time, become a threat upon the community.

That is, until Humanity reached space.

Recently, I came up with an idea how to remove PI's limitation that it completely prevents any form of telepathetic communication. I think if user of Psychic Immunity had Mind Reading and Telepathic Speaking, it would be able to percieve thoughts of others and project its own in its mind, effectively communicating. The difference here is that one speaker is completely private while the second one is a little bit vulnerable due the whole conversation happening in its mind. Additionally, Psychic Conversation cannot occur between two users of PI.

What do you think about this way to cheat the limitation?

Psychic Immunity page says it completely prevents its user from telepathetic communication. Is it an unbreakable rule or is that a case where user of Psychic Immunity could let someone read their mind? Or would that be Psychic Shield?

Okay, this is basically a Roleplay based off of "The Grudge and Ju-on"

There is a protagonist...it's the first person I choose randomly.

The antagonist is me...the ghost of Trevor Saeki.

Here's the story:

Trevor and his husband, Jay, move into a house. They live happily, but Trevor wants a son. So they adopt. After adopting, they name their new son, Apollo. Years after, Trevor is 28, Jay is 30, and Apollo is 6. Trevor enrolls Apollo into school and develops a crush on his teacher, Jerome. He journals about it everyday. Well, one night at the Saeki home...Trevor is down stairs cooking chicken. Jay is going through Trevor's things and finds his diary. As he reads, Trevor comes up the stairs. He walks into the room and discovers Jay reading his diary. Jay begins to attack Trevor and Trevor sprains his ankle. He crawls down the stairs, and grabs the doorknob...but Jay snatches him by his hair and snaps his neck at a 90. Trevor is paralyzed and alive. He watches as Jay drags his son to the bathroom and drowns him and his cat. Then, he's dragged up the stairs by his hair where he's tortured until he dies. Then he's placed at the back of the attic. Apollo is placed in the closet of his room. Jay goes insane, but he stays in the house.

Meanwhile, Trevor is in the attic reawakening as an Onryo. He hangs his husband using his hair, and The Curse begins. Anyone who walks into that house is destined to die. The Curse never forgives, and it never forgets. Nothing escapes, nothing is spared.

A family is killed in the house after the original deaths. You are a detective. You and your entire team are to investigate the house. You all are human until death, that is if you walk into the house.

I should explain the sensitivity and all of that!

Sensitivity is the ability to only sense The Curse, you won't see it until you're Cursed.

Clairvoyance is the ability to see The Curse, but only when you're affected.

Psychic Shield is the ability to shield your mind against The Curse, but only against Psychic attacks.
