Clark Kent was always seen as "the little guy," so when he snuck into the Army he volunteered to test the Star Formula (Kryptonian DNA imbued with Vita-Rays) and was granted incredible powers. Clark's superiors quickly realized that he was not a soldier in any sense of the word. Because of this, they were going to honorably discharge him, but Sergeant Luthor believed he could train him. The Army gave him a shot and Sergeant Alexander Hermann-Luthor gave him a kryptonium shield (this universe's version of vibranium.) After about a month of training, he was ready to fight in WWII. He was eventually betrayed by Sergeant Alexander Hermann Luthor, who got much less powerful abilities from a super-soldier serum made of Clark Kent's DNA. Lex Luthor trapped All-Star in a hyper-sleep pod (which he didn't escape from until 1997.) Clark joined the Daily Bugle in 2001 and co-founded the Vengeance League in 2008.

Slade Murdock's father was an incredibly successful boxer who made enough money to open a company called Murdock Enterprises. When Slade was seven, he was in an accident that caused chemicals to make him blind (he was also given superpowers, but didn't find out until later.) When he was eleven, he and his parents were leaving church when one of Kingpenguin's (Kingpin and Penguin) henchmen threatened them at gunpoint, demanding money. Slade's father gave him a phone to call 911 and then punched the thug. Unfortunately, this caused the henchman to shoot Slade's mom. In a rage, Slade's father beat the thug to a pulp. When the police got there, they arrested Slade's Father for the next twenty-five years. Alfred Nelson (a friend of Slade's father) then raised Slade and a former member of the League of Assassin's trained him in martial arts named Stick. Slade took over Murdock Enterprises at twenty-six and had become Diablo just a few months earlier. He co-founded the Vengeance League in 2008.

However, Marilyn was so horrified by her son's appearance (she didn't know he was half-demon) that she put him up for adoption and left the state. William became a pickpocket and petty thief until Azazel made him the avatar of Hell's Wrath. In his avatar form, which he could access by saying, "D***it," he becomes eight inches taller, much stronger, and can manipulate electricity. He likes starting fights with other superhumans, which is a problem when he decides to fight All-Star.

Beginning as All-Star's sidekick American Girl in WWII, Kara Buchanan became Godfall after being killed by Red Skull in 1942 and being resurrected by the same villain in 1951 when he became ruler of Apokolips (which he renamed Hydrakolips [it's also Hydra's base]). Now called Darkskull, he used his Omega Box (Tesseract + Mother Box + Omega Effect) to alter Kara's biology, making her power rival that of All-Star's. The process also suppressed most of her memories, making her a heartless assassin. (Enter Winter Soldier's backstory here.) Kara joined the All-Star Titans in 2013.

Peter Jordan was bitten by a spider that had been infused with Green Lantern Energy. This gave him the potential to use all of Green Lantern's powers, but his subconscious expressed that power as Spider-Man's powers, including super strength, wallcrawling, and green energy constructs (which is how he generates webbing.) Peter told his Uncle Hal and Aunt May about his powers and they said that he should avoid using his powers unless he's the only one who can help. He eventually became a well-known and well-liked hero (except for JJJ, who accuses him of being an alien that wants to take over the world) and joined the All-Star Titans a couple of years after he became Spider-Man in 2015.

Alexander Hermann-Luthor was born to Frank and Ilina Hermann-Luthor in 1910, but killed them when he was sixteen (making it look like a break-in gone wrong) and used their $30,000,000 life insurance policy ($845,277,178.33 today) to found LexCorp. He then enlisted in the army and, eventually, became a sergeant while funding the military and providing them with high-tech weapons. Alexander later trained the hero All-Star, and then betrayed him, using his DNA to make a super-soldier serum (turning him into the Red Skull) In a fight with All-Star, he got caught in his own Tesseract Bomb (which is made from the Tesseract) which teleported him to Apokolips. Alex spent three years hiding from the natives until he learned how to use the Tesseract to transfer Apokolips' ruler, Darkseid's power to himself. He then took over Apokolips, populated it with Hydra Agents, and renamed it Hydrakolips.

During his eighth year, Edward is offered forty years off his sentence if he takes an experimental drug called Venom meant to, "Enhance the body and unlock the mind." The serum was created from a half-dead klyntar infused with green lantern energy (although he doesn't get Green Lantern powers) combined with various steroids and an attempted recreation of the Star Serum. He quickly used his powers to escape Arcan Prison and acted as a villain for a while before joining the Doom Defenders in 2016.
