I have this project called riftcity, based on noir detective films kinda, where Spencer Sewell (a Detective, vigilante and trans man), their friend Lewis Colt (a barcrawler and basically jax), childhood friend Brooke Claud (a kindhearted pacifist) and local police officer Cerelina "Robin" Wood (yes, robin is a girl) investigate crime, and deal with the looming threat of the mekakin (murderous robots, think murder drones except being stung makes you another mindless murder robot) and uncover the myths surrounding the vampiric Monsieur Daurichere (a king of darkness reborn as one of the three lords of the inhuman kind, after performing the vampirism ritual) and the eternal night sky over the city, called the "rift". Some people harness the power of the rift to create portals, gain immortality and stop aging, while others harness the faint light of the abyssal stars to freeze movement and bring hope.
The power to harness the rift is called "Dharkea Alignment", while the power to be a conduit of the stars is "Lyta alignment".
The streets are bustling with tourists, street food consisting of cheesy egg rolls and spicy potato snacks; there's a section of the city that's infested with crime and always raining; a tower that enthralls people so that they stay for years until they die; and even more. The local culture is heavily influenced by japanese, american, british, chinese, canadian and russian culture, as well as many others.
Dharka Alignment is a combination of Darkness Manipulation, Portal Creation and Nigh Absolute Immortality.
Layta Alignment is a combination of Light Manipulation, Puppet Mastery and Reliant Immortality.

Grihan-arth
1. Territory
1.This is the oldest forest in Vivarratus, with trees over ten million years old. These mega-sized trees are so giant that they droop and bend. When magic was available to all, it was ideal for performing the dark arts and other unsanctioned experiments. Over the centuries, The results made the trees' sap have mystical properties. People want this sap for its ability to enchant people and objects, granting them supernatural powers, especially when all magic vanished. It can also nullify other enchantments in its natural state. Unfortunately, the tree's barks are dense as steel because they are all petrified. Because of the experiments and dark magic conducted in Grihan-arth, the forest has a unique metaphysical quality that attracts many ethereal forces. This can range from gravity being reversed, death becoming life, rain becoming steel marbles, and who knows what else. Only the hardiest individuals can traverse there, let alone harvest tree sap, but its inhabitants are another story.
2. Race: Mentassence
Biology (& Origin): This ethereal race came to be around the same time the odd phenomena that appeared in their area. When a person abandons a part of themselves (a personality trait, emotion, forgotten memory, etc), that trait becomes attracted by Grihan-arth. Once there, that metaphysical fragment will float through the trees until it gets stuck in the mystic sap. After a while, that trait will manifest a body using that sap. They will emerge not as a Mentassence with their own thoughts, emotions, and desires. They have the most unique biology because of the combination of Grihan-arth sap and mental energy held together. Their appearance is a simple humanoid shape with a scene or image of the trait/emotion that they came from. Their heads and outlines can be different for each one. They do have genders since they came from beings that have them. They are also known to be the most durable race in the world. They can live practically forever, take almost any form of damage, and regenerate if they keep absorbing their homeland's prized sap. Of course, they constantly burn the sap in the form of shedding particles, giving them a glistening aura.
Culture: They are an emotional and simple race. They like to spend their days playing games or pulling pranks on others. They are happy to do things just for the experience. They are the leading providers of Grihan-arth sap because of their unique power in their turf, but they have no need for money since all they really need is sustenance and entertainment. So, they just leave money and jewels in the middle of the forest, spread the word about it, and watch people come to their forest to fail or get killed. They are not evil but think life is more of a game to enjoy any way they can. Their clothing is usually is left behind by people who venture into their territory. Some of them were full-body suits if their image is a bit vulgar, sexual, or controversial for public viewing.
Special Ability: Unparallel Duration-they possess Reliant Immortality if they have enough Grihan-arth sap in them.
1. Territory Ability: Sap Potency- They have a connection with the sap that spawned them and can manipulate them into manifesting anything they want. They can even use it to control the phenomena found there.
Inspiration: Grihan is Grimm and Han as in the Brothers Grimm and Han Christian Anderson. The Mentassence are supposed to be fantastical beings like fairies and ghosts that live in wooden areas. Mentassence is just Mental and essence together.
