Every single page that based on a level or condition would have to be entirely rewritten to fit that new format.
Its not simply a matter of adding a new tab or changing a few lines. Its a complete rework of every page and every page connected to it.
I'm not saying its inaccurate.
The point stands that if we went with 8 levels, then we would run into the problem of the same users being on multiple pages. That's not something we can really avoid.
Especially when it comes to comics, LN and anime characters.
Yes the current tiering may not be the best system, but it does keep things from getting muddled and having the same characters repeated on every page.
Besides its even harder to properly categorize what counts as what when you go up to cosmic or higher levels.
While we could work on improving the system we use for this wikia to make it easier to properly grasp, a tiering of that scale would require a complete overhaul of the entire structure of the wikia.
Actually it would be more complex, not less.
A ton of fictional characters overlap into multiple tiers. As several users of Enhanced have shown Stellar or higher level feats. And the same goes for Supernatural.
Your tiering wouldn't really work, because you would have to put the same user in multiple tiers.
Lets not try to make it more difficult then is necessary.
Not sure why your trying to follow the VS Battle wiki's way of tiering for the superpower wiki
Most of the information on their isn't even accurate.
We don't really need 8 categories, because the existing ones pretty much cover just what you can actually do.
Besides the fact that a lot of users of 8 level tiering can overlap with different levels.
So it wouldn't really work out as a way of categorizing the wikia.
I already explained all of that to him on his talk page.
All I deleted was a page that was covered by existing powers. I even gave my answer as to why.
Thats all there is to it. There isn't really anything else to discuss. I followed wikia rules and procedure for removing a power covered by another page.
So please stop pestering me to restore it. I gave you an answer several times.
There's nothing in the deletion log that says any videos were deleted.
The only thing that was deleted was the page. Plus there was no video on either page.
The only thing on there was the picture of thor, which still exists.
I didn't delete any videos. I only deleted the page he made since it was covered by existing pages.
The deletion log can confirm what was deleted. The only things deleted were the two pages he made.
The video must have been deleted by one of the other staff members.
I already gave my answer about the page that he made.
The page was already covered by several different powers.
Also considering he was threatening to bug me until I restored his page is not proper behavior when asking for something.
The reasons I gave why his page was deleted and that fact its covered by existing pages were valid and justified.
You can be mad at me if you want. But I didn't even do anything wrong in this case. His page was covered by an existing power and the wikia rules are pretty clear about happens with that.
I admit I'm not perfect and I do tend to get carried away at times when discussing things with others or making edits.
I am trying to make improvements on how I interact with others but it is sometimes hard to do when I see things I believe are wrong.
Some arguments do tend to get heated when I try to explain my point of view, and I understand that I need to work on that end.
Though as Crystalstorm said, I am doing my job as admin on some parts and I am trying to work on the others.
Though it should be noted that some users are posting things on here that either don't belong or cannot be confirmed, which is usually the cause of those arguments.
I understand everyones concerns about me, and I am working on improving myself. If I make mistakes its only because I have not seen anything that says otherwise about the users edits or comments and that leads to the heated discussion.
Nobody is perfect, and I know I am no exception to this. I will work to correct my flaws as best I can.
You should also know those examples you cited aren't just comedy series.
They have movies, video game releases, comic books, and more.
Family Guy, Simpsons, Rick and Morty, South Park and all those are shows have actual video games with all plots and real examples of powers, and some of them even have full length films (and some of the have movie theater film releases).
So your arguments that they don't count just because the shows are being played for laughs and that they should be on here, even though they exist in other formats that are taken seriously means you are in fact removing canon and valid users from the wikia.
If they were just gags or jokes, that would be fine. But since they exist in other formats besides comedy shows, that changes the playing field.
If you want to bring up this argument, I suggest doing it with all the members of the wikia staff and see what they think. Because otherwise your going to make a lot of people mad and they will want you to stop.
QC is fine and dandy and I have no problems with it. But not when your removing actual storyline's and major events. Your viewpoint seems to be only series that are taken seriously should be allowed on this wikia, and anything that has to do with comedy or that is played for laughs should be removed, even if its a canon story.
I understand your viewpoint. And I can respect it. But that doesn't change the fact that the other staff members were the ones that allowed these series to be used in the first place, and that banning them from being used would cause a lot of problems for users and new pages as they wouldn't be allowed to use them as examples anymore. Even if they are valid.
First off, I have never let fanmade creations on this wikia. And in fact I remove them everytime someone posts them on the wikia.
Secondly, those series have been around literally forever. And Zatalliya actually stated that they count as examples as long as they aren't being used as jokes.
Just because the series is a comedy, doesn't mean it doesn't have a right to be on the wikia and the admins would agree with me on this.
If the staff didn't think it counted, then all of the examples from those series would have been removed long ago and most of the pages on this wikia would have been deleted.
So you say I don't know what I am talking about and that I am basing these on my personal opinions. But you are actually the one basing them on personal opinions.
The admins and bureaucrats have already allowed them to be used on here since the wikia's founding. So why would that change now?
If comedy series aren't allowed to be used as examples on here, then no examples or series should be allowed on here.
Its an all or neither type situation. So if you want to wreck the wikia just because you think an episode or plot point is stupid or that its a comedy, then I suggest you think very carefully about what all the other users on here would think of your actions.
Because its not just me that would complain, everyone would be the principles and rules that define this wikia would no longer be valid and we would be forced to carefully pick out which series we would be allowed to use on here. Which defeats the overall freedom that has made this wikia last so long.
So please stop already. I understand that you do like it, but your hurting everyone in the process but removing all the examples they worked hard to make and would leave most of the pages without any known users.
I am asking this for the health and future of the wikia, not out of my own personal feelings or opinions.
Quality Control issues and deciding what users belong on here is really something that should be left to the Content Mods, as its their entire purpose after all.
I have said my piece, if you want to wreck the wikia and have complaints from all the users for removing their examples and the all work and effort they put into finding users for their pages, then go ahead.
Even if I didn't do anything, the other staff members would very likely have reverted your edits once they saw what you did.
Its a matter of principle that the wikia has the freedom it does in allowing so many different examples. if we remove that right and start saying comedy or gag series aren't allowed, then this wikia might as well be closed.
I just want the wikia to be the place it is and have the freedom it was defined by. But your viewpoint is ruining all that.
Zatalliya personally said on my talk page that those series are allowed, and that only the gag examples are the ones that should be removed, not the actual plot points and storylines.
First off, the examples you cited are not merely jokes. They are actual plot points regarding the episodes.
You saying they are not valid, even though the whole episode was defined by them proves you are wrong in this.
If they were merely one-off or throwaway gags, then that would be one thing. But they were all taken very seriously and not meant to be played for laughs at all.
If you want to make changes, you have to know the difference between actual plot events that the episode is based on and a joke that never gets another mention.
In the pregnancy Inducement example, the whole thing with Bart helping couples get pregnant was taken VERY seriously by the end of the episode and wasn't being played for laughs.
In the temporal inversion example, Stewie was almost unborn if Brian hadn't fixed the time machine. Which mean stewie came very close to ceasing to exist altogether.
In the Purification example, Rick and Morty went through a detox machine that removed their negativity and psychological traumas, which gained a life of there own and threatened to do the same to the entire population of the city they lived in.
So as you can see, those are plot points. NOT GAGS.
Since Halibee clearly can't make that distinction (it and seems like he never watched those episode that those cited examples took place in) that he really shouldn't be removing them.
I'm not a power freak. I watched those episodes, so I know they weren't merely being played for laughs.
If you want to remove them, please realize that you are removing something that was the entire purpose of the episode in question and thus a true example of the power in action.
